this game is great
I search out raiders to get ammo, because I can't make any yet. I killed a raider that was in power armor with a fat man. The power armor I can't loot but I was able to loot the power armor pieces and a mininuke with the fatman he was holding. Dude was in the town near the facility you have to clear out for Prestin.
It's really not that hard on Survival tho, just have to be smart as shyt 
and use your companion to its full strength, like right now I have mr handy wit me, and we just ran through the the assembly plant, I was sending him to open doors, if I'm in cover I would tell him to go to the other side of the room and draw the fire while I sneak up and flank them. 
Gouls are a bytch tho, I usually have to get on a car or a high platform to kill them,

One was an alpha and hard as shyt to kill. This nikka ran through like 4 or 5 mines like it was nothing. They're quick as fukk AND smart. I probably could've gone back to get my armor but I wanted to see if I could handle them and was feeling like. I died like 5 times but it was worth it.
Don't let them get close enough to touch you because when they pick you up it's instant death.

Same, I'm level and 16 and just finished the Valentine missionJust hit lvl 17. I've put so much hours into this game and I only have 4 main quests completed
