It's a good game but I personally thought Fallout 3 was superior in every way sans customization of weapons and perks.

If you got it for the consoles its average but the PC version is best with the mods. I still play the game regularly and there are mods still being made for the game.
Fallout 3 has a better environment and more random encounters (there is a mod being worked on for that). Fallout NV has a better story and characters.
