Power armor isn't really needed, but I have the best just in case. Why not?
I'm like level 103 or something (yeah I cheated myself to there after I beat the game in the 40s). I'm unstoppable now. Glad there's no level cap, because I know I'll wanna still level up with the dlc. Even with 103 perks and the bobble heads, I'm nowhere near maxing out all the perks on my character.
I believe you need 310 levels to max out

Ive been skruggling for so long; making sure sanctuary had enough to eat even if it meant I starved; having to sneak everywhere and taking the long way just to avoid getting stomped out by raiders; worrying about if I was going to have enough ammo to make it to the end of a quest...
I've been grinding, got my level up, finally got the overseers guardian and its open season on all the fakkits who did me wrong.
But on the real this game is too damn much. Such a large map, so many things you can do, too many different ways to approach everything you do. I just got around to playing it last week, and I've legit thrown my life in the bushes for this game.
