I'm at the workshop like


How the fukk do I even start .

I clicked on structure and it said I had enough to start but build isn't highlighted.

What am I doing wrong ?

Missing a step ?

Meh I don't like the settlement building. It's so clunky and shyt. I can't make something worth a damn. I wasted like 30 minutes trying to connect walls and shyt flush but the way it's designed makes it hard to do so. How the hell are you supposed to see where your roof is going? shyt's hard to add.

Lol same thing I just said. I just kept messing with it here and there. shyt will have you wasting time to make somethin look nice. You gotta make sure the cursor on screen ain't highlighting something in the game like an object or something.

this Covenant mission hard as shyt, I can't find all the clues to finish the mission . I already suspect I know what the deal with them is though lol...

True. It took me hours before I figured out how to build a reasonable looking building.

It's probably best to start by creating a foundation. So go to:
Structures -> Wood/Metal -> Floors

There you'll see several floor types, floors connected w/ a staircase for multilevels, and even elevated foundations for uneven terrain.

Once you do that, walls should "snap" into place on the edge of floors, and roofs should snap onto walls.

Past these basic steps, I really can't help. Just experiment with shyt. If the "Build" button is blacked out but you have the materials, then something is probably obstructing the item. I've seen skeletons (that I can't move, for some reason) be the reason I couldn't put down a gate. Kinda finicky at the moment.

I had this legendary almost dead and top left screen ''legendary mutant mutates''... After that all i saw was my head getting folded in.

I built a nice ass spot in the sanctuary for my peoples it got 6 beds 3 tvs a radio and a torrent by the door we living like scarface

Do I have to find fresh land or do I build around existing houses ?

In sanctuary, I removed the destroyed houses, and built new foundations where those houses stood. I just have beds in the first two buildings, basically.
