If you read some of the reviews it's clear people had full game scores after playing an hour or two. Or clearly have nostalgia glasses on for 3 and New Vegas. Or are new to Fallout saw the hype and didn't realize what a Fallout game is, mostly expectations being crazy I think.
Not a perfect game but the amount of 0 out of 10 reviews is crazy. I understand a lot of the gripes, but none of them are as earth shattering as the reviews indicate.
Like having no dialogue choices or charisma meaning nothing. I got 13 hours and I've seen like 50 separate persuasion attempts and a few intimidate options. I'm confused why I keep seeing these conversational options aren't there in user reviews.

I think I have the nostalgia glasses on from Fallout 3 and NV. Something about this game just feels off. I'm gonna keep playing, but so far I'm not impressed. But most of the stuff I had fun doing in 3 is still here in 4 and Im having fun. I like exploring and surviving in a world that feels lived in, scavenging to get by and constantly discovering things, getting more powerful etc. and so far it's provided me all of that.
Die hards are upset that you can level special points and become a jack of all trades, no weapon degradation, and no visible clear moral pathways. Which I can understand, just not game breaking to me.

Is this your first fallout? If so, I can see why you love it. If you played 3 and NV, you might think differently.

I dunno about that. Good games also have high user scores. For example, Witcher 3 has an 8.9 user score.
