It's by far and away and without a shadow of doubt the worst and most contemptible conspiracy theory in the history of the universe.

It goes like this: in 1990 or 91, Lil 1/2 Dead wrote Brenda's Got a Baby and put it on a demo tape that he sent to Pac, hoping Pac would sign him up to the label. Pac ignored it but took Brenda's Got a Baby and scored his first hit with it. Pac's career took off after that while 1/2 Dead remained obscure for several years.

Around 1996, Suge Knight's wife wanted to divorce him, but figured if she iced him she would get total control over Death Row much more efficiently than she would if she divorced. She colluded with Death Row's head of security, and the pair of conspirators reached out to three Long Beach Crips: a couple of brothers, and Lil 1/2 Dead who still had a grudge against Pac over Brenda's Got a Baby. It was these three that did the deed but they missed the real target, Suge.

There's just one tiny problem with all this. Lil 1/2 Dead, much as I love him, has all the lyrical ability of an illiterate village idiot. It's inconceivable he could have written a masterpiece like Brenda's Got a Baby.
