realistically, a NEW argument was made under false pretenses that we were talking about the skill of players or something, when NOBODY could in their right mind think that, or EVEN that we're talking about financial or draw power. And I fell into that.

To YOUR point, the original post is College Football > > > NFL

which CLEARLY speaks to the generic distinction of "which do you like better"...NOT skill or MONEY.

and breh

there is no comparison

College Football> > > NFL

The thread title said it was a fact... Not that the O.P. preferred it......

The only argument i hear is "atmopshere" as if fans making loud noises makes somethign better

The top teams like Bama OSU etc wil only play 2 or 3 games a year where they can actually lose the other games they can literally just show up and theyll win because of talent disparity

your wrong

there is a reason why there are "road tests"

you bring up ohio state, last year they were perfect but lets dig deeper. beat cal by a 7, beat michigan state by 1, beat indiana by 3, beat purdue in overtime, beat wisconsin in overtime beat michigan by 5

thats 6/12 games decided by less than a td

and NONE OF THOSE TEAMS were ranked cept michigan

the only "easy games" any team has is if they schedule weak out of conference teams which is basically a exhibition

ask okla state who got their ass kicked by iowa state when they were the second best team and 28 point favs

But that's one team out of 25. Also, these teams are ranked before they even play a game...Last...There is no playoff system......

playoff system coming in next year

College basketball does is as well, so does tennis and golf, ranked off your previous year.

NFL is boring a few spurts of action here and there thats it.

College football gives oyu everything the beautiful game of football offers, you love the triple option? watch navy, georgia tech. You love a old school west coast offense watch stanford, you want high passing high scoring games, watch a baylor, texas tech, you want the run and pound run watch alabama lsu.

You want games on wed, thurs, friday, saturday :noah:

Pre ranking system is part of the problem, but that's another topic......

I love college football, and I like watching Paul Johnson and his triple option as well as the innovative offenses from smaller schools that get their RBs in space and allows their QB(often black) to make a play with his legs to keep defenses honest......

However.....Seeing Vick\Peyton in their hayday or watching A.P. or CJ go for 2k or watching Randy Moss, C. Johnson, Fitz, Rice, Favre, Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor, or Aaron Rodgers >>>> College Football

A lot of people like stars more than the storyline\tradition\history that comes with college football....

I'm just one of them...

We'll see if they can get something close to a playoff going........Also, more out of conference play between powerhouse schools is needed......

Rankings mean nothing, usc was number 1 last year and wasnt even ranked at the end of the season, all rankings do is garner more attention and ratings. It's just like tennins, I can't tell you who number 5 is in the world for womens, but if im flipping hte tv and i see its number 5 v 10 then i'm going to watch :manny:

and all those guys you mentioned all played college football

seeing a walk on jj watt develop itno a beast :noah:

seeing a undersized qb who wont get his shot in the big leagues give his all :noah:

the playoff next year is a start with 4 teams, im sure once the big money is seen it will expand to 8 or 16 teams like the fcs playoffs.

OOC play is dicey unless its at a neutral site (which is hard to do) and money evenly split, I don't blame schools its liek running a business, why would you want to give up a home game against a inferior teamw hen your raking in millions for that game and only dishing out like 700k

I get cha on that.....Its great to see those types of stories and college sports is the perfect backdrop....

It's great business for a top tier school to pay a low tier FCS school to come take a whooping and retain most of the revenue that's generated from tickets sales, TV ad money, and additional revenue the city sees...

OOC play is dicey, but the neutral site is probably the only way they will do it....Neither big time school will want to lost that home game on top of the money to take a potential L....I'm not sure if their is a way that the schools can still keep a home game if they play at a neutral site....If they can we'll start seeing more big OOC games......jmo

College football is garbage compared to NFL. Damn near every college game is a blowout, we had like 5 games yesterday that were nailbiters down to the last second
I have said this multiple times in this thread and it has been ignored.

Most of the games in CFB are not entertaining at all.
Alabama played 3 games last year that was entertaining.

The year before that Bama had 1 game that was entertaining and the score was of that game was 9-6.

I am the only one that gave a legitimate reason on something that makes CFB > NFL.

You can't be this slow.....Then again.....Maybe you really are......

You talking about ticket sales when the tell tale sign that something is hot is T.V. money............
And the T.V. Money, Licensing, Apparel, Merchandising, for the NFL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NCAAF

And it aint even close...and the NCAAF is getting stupid money......

:comeon: Then why isnt every NFL stadium as big as college stadiums?

And college games are NOT cheap tix either.

Most NFL teams could never sell out 100,000+ seats on a weekly basis with ppl traveling for all over the state, neighboring states. Only twot hat come to mind are the Redskins and Cowboys

Its gets ignored b/c of course you're going to have some blowouts when you're dealing with 120 teams :what:

But to act like every NFL game comes down to the th quarter is also asinine.

You do know that students get free\extremely discounted tickets right? So that's 15k seats right there. And again, this is WAYYYYYYYY bigger than ticket sales...

I'm not acting like that, but NFL has more competitive and close games week in/out vs what College has.

fans making loud noses makes things better.

This is bigger than ticket sales b/c no one was even discussing financials.

People saying college football is better are talking from an entertainment perspective.

I'm not acting like that, but NFL has more competitive and close games week in/out vs what College has.
The NFL only has 29-30 teams.....if you took the top 29-30 teams from college and put them against each other week to week, every week you'd see less blowouts. That goes back to my point about there being 120 teams so you have a variance of outcomes....its the law of averages.
