this is a very good question. The good news is, there are answers. They're just answers many may scoff at.
1. If you can, try to avoid putting urself in a position where you desperately need a job.
- if you have multiple kids, that's a desperate situation
- if u love kids so much and u want to have them, at the very least, make sure ur baby moms is well off financially.
- if this sounds like a drastic step to you, then, you're not ready yet. U havent been in the real world long enough to understand what matters and what just doesnt.
- if you have debt, that's a desperate situation.
2. save as much of your money as you can.
- that way, you dont feel obligated to do anything u dont wanna do at work for fear of being fired.
- the money u save should be able to last u a year to 2 years.
- this may sound unreasonable to most, but, when you are fully aware of the hatred and the prejudice you as a black man face out there in the real world, you'll find it easier to summon up the motivation to do this.
- This will also give u confidence at work because u know the worst thing that can happen to u there is u get fired. and if that happens, u'll be alright.
3. Find 2 good skills that are marketable and be a master at them.
- it'll be hard for companies to reject u for silly/prejudicial reasons if u are the only person specialized in the work they need done.
- also, if u get to be a master at something, be very leery about teaching others how u became masterful at it. u dont want to create unnecessary competition for urself.
4. Start a business. This is where those in tech have the greatest opportunity. Whatever u do, if it can be classified as "Tech" and does not involve sales or human interaction, it can be automated.
- in other words, whatever it is a company is hiring u to do, think of how u can automate it, and then sell that automation to other companies.
- this requires serious dedication, which most people dont have
- Automation is coming whether u like it or not.
- U can be the one whose job is being replaced, or u can be the one replacing other people's jobs
- The not so difficult choice is yours to make.
- Trying to fit in and just live life may work for some but its apparent, it will not work for black people.
5. Be careful of the romantic partners you have. That hoodrat who lives on social media, has tatts all over her body, has no college degree, should be avoided.
- She will bring u nothing but devastation. Not because she's purposely evil but because that's just who she is.
- An out of control car speeding down a busy intersection does not consider the feelings of the lives it destroys.]
