From what i gather statistically in most Western European countries antisemitic incidents, as well as homophobic incidents by the way, are committed by lily white, prim and proper men and women. Eastern Orthodox Christians in the Levant? or Byzantine Christians? because both of them had better reasons to stay away from the Crusades than their "better conditions" under Muslims (provided these groups were actually under Muslim control)

it's fairly easy to say "Jews were treated better by Muslims than by Christians in Eurasia" since Christians had set the bar pretty low. All the Muslim rulers had to do was NOT force them to convert, burn them at the stake, or exile them to a strange land and they were automatically better.

news to me. i know a rack of west and central africans who either live in paris or just moved from paris, never heard this. these tend to be middle and upper class folk though, and i'm sure class status contributes to this.

i don't know any black americans in paris, btw
