I'm not making this thread on some WWE stooge stan war shyt either.

He's seems over with the fans and I know he's got some supporters on here but I legit don't get it with this guy.

What does he excel at? Because I don't see it in terms of mic skills, look, wrestling ability, charisma. And I'm not saying he's bad at these things, he's perfectly decent at all of them but the drunk cowboy persona doesn't really scream corner stone of the company which they've pretty much been building him as since day one.

What's your thoughts on Hangman?

fair enough I didn't see it in the beginning as well until cowboy shyt began and he began his meaningful storyline which I think he carried very very well. He's one of those stars that WWE would have said "WWE higher ups have massive praise for Page and see him as a future mania main eventer" but then book him to hell and released him 3 years down the line. But AEW managed to book him correctly from beginning till now.

I used to be “Mehhh” at Page…..but when he was in that AEW battle royal to get in that title match against Jericho….dude completely changed my mind. His interactions wit MJF, that buckshot lariat finisher…..dude got star power. I just hope AEW stops booking him with those Dark Order scrubs.

I used to call him Hangmayne Reigns as it was clear they were protecting and building him from the get go. He's a good talent with a gimmick that's as old as worked rasslin. Cowboy gimmick is a staple and he's the right fit for the story they told. He's not the guy yet but with time and seasoning at the elite level it can only do him more good. Plus his entrance theme and finish are A1

This is like when i asked about Britt Baker. :mjlol: He's just the guy they (those fans) chose to pretend to like. They can't tell you what's great about these generic white wrestlers other than "he's over". Basically admitting, they cheer because other people cheer, like a big circle.

I wasn't quite connecting with him when I was seeing him getting drunk and being sad because I thought they were making his drinking seem cool but to me it came off bad because drinking dont look desireable when someone is all mopey.

However when I started seeing video montages of his story that people made that included videos from the BTE episodes it gave me a greater context for what was going om with the character and the story.

I didn't know how good of a promo he was until the Cowboy shyt promo because for the most part most his back stage segments involved him interacting with others but the guy knows how to project and comes across confident.

He's actually still kind of underrated by people thinking he shoulda lossed again to Omega or lose to Bryan. He's got a lot of range because he can play both a tough guy but also play vulnerable. He also can come across like a fun guy to get drunk with. In the ring he's athletic but also is hard hitting.

If AEW books the main event scene around him in the right way and gives him more than one segment a night he could be a big star.

He's good in ring.

Comes across as a good, nice guy irl

Most importantly as to why he got so over, good booking.
