:deadrose::deadrose::deadrose:

I can't believe the cac from "Warrior" is playing Ramses. :heh:

The comments in imdb.com for this movie are the jokes.

Look at one of the fakkits wrote there.

"accuracy of how you think a person 3000+ years ago would have looked? skin colour is not a relevant plot point in this movie.
i remind you this is art/entertainment which is what...? subjective. and NOT a history class."

:mindblown:

"Egyptians are not black, either. It would be more nonsensical to cast black actors in roles of a lighter skinned people."

This person gets checked by an actual Egyptian person. Here is their comment.

"Yo keep saying Egyptians aren't black, well I'm egyptian and have dark skin. Egyptians don't have one set tone lol there's a VARIETY of shades from dark to light. O and you mentioned "the days of giving a racist guilt trip is over" lol assumes that racism is over when hate crimes specifically related to race take place everyday all over the world. Simply ignorance, but I'm sure you will figure out a way to dismiss all my thoughts even though I am actually Egyptian and come from a long line dating back to dark skinned Egyptians. It all depends upon location, kingdom, time and era but not all egyptians are the same tone"

:lolbron:

For real though, this movie will make money though, especially if the release during Easter or Christmas, one of them Christian holidays when they play the movie Moses over and over.

It's a Ridley Scott film with Christian Bale. That could be an overreach but I've seen comments on different sites about the trailer and there's no outcry over who's portraying the characters

:dwillhuh: There's no comic book character in this particular movie though. That's the point. What would a comic fanboy have to get mad about when it' not based on a comic/comic character? :why:.

I'm not talking about comic fanboys but fanboys in general breh. There are PLENTY of film fanboys who just love film period especially films with certain directors and actors. So maybe I worded it wrong but that's the guy I'm talking about..the genre film fanboy who will watch a comic book flick but is also interested in Sci fi, epics like this or Noah, or anything by certain genre friendly directors like Ridley Scoot, Chris Nolan, Joss Whedon, etc.
