The power of Conrad Thompson. He got Bruce and Bischoff rehired. :wow:

Wouldn't surprise me at this point if they tried to hire him to be their full-time podcaster and bring his shows with him.

Is Breeze bugging for tweeting this like he's not gonna end up on RAW and SD again?

This is probably the one big criticism of the moves. Instead of moving forward, they're looking back for help.

As a huge Paul Heyman fan, I wish people would let the attitude era the fukk GO. Vince is suppose to be above being a mark for nostalgia

As noted, WWE announced today that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff have been hired as full-time Executive Directors of RAW and SmackDown. Heyman will be running the red brand while Bischoff will head up the blue brand. This is not part of a storyline and both will report directly to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Bischoff will also work with executives from Fox.

WWE's press release noted, "In their executive roles, Heyman and Bischoff will oversee the creative development of WWE's flagship programming and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business. The creation of these roles further establishes WWE's ability to continuously reinvent its global brand while providing two distinct creative processes for its flagship shows."

In an update, PWInsider reports that WWE has been talking to Heyman about the new role as far back as February of this year. The deal with Bischoff came together within the past few weeks.

WWE reportedly made an offer to Heyman to come on full-time as a top member of the creative team around the same time Bruce Prichard was hired as Senior Vice President a few months ago. We've noted how Heyman has been working on various storylines and with certain talents for months now, including Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.

Bischoff has been working on pre-production of Netflix's planned biography on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, and had a number of personal appearances booked. He likely came to terms with WWE over the last week as he started quietly canceling some of personal appearances.

While Bischoff and Heyman are still reporting to Vince, they are essentially running RAW and SmackDown now. It will be interesting to see how Triple H and others factor in to this latest creative shake-up.

With 2020 just around the corner Vince will be way to busy trying to get the XFL going so in makes sense that he is actually trying to fall back no way he will be able to do TV week in week out and the XFL.

So pretty much no more reports/story of Vince rewriting shows as the show is going to air if he isn’t at TV anymore or at the very least he will be a PPV only like with NXT takeover

Surprise Shane didn’t get one of the jobs since he had a lot of great ideas that Triple H pretty much took and just rebrand them differently

This screams of Fox but also wasn’t NBC getting upset at these poor ratings as we’ll at some point this was going to have to happen.

Both guys should really be reporting to Trips & Steph since there the one who are going to be at TV each week rather then Vince. They should only have to report to him unless it’s something extremely huge(/important they want to do

That was all Vince breh. That’s why Heyman left. Dude wanted to push Punk from the start and it took Vince dumb ass 5 years to “get it” smh
Don’t forget his overruling all of Heyman’s ideas and then blaming him when his own ideas flopped. They’ll both be done dealing with Vince by 15 months max. I expect them both to be done around 9-10 months though.

Heyman said years ago that he wouldn't become involved with the creative side of any company unless they give him some investment on it.

Seems like Vince dropped him some stocks.

I think he could be good if used right, like actually giving him an official stable with Drew Mac, The Revival, Elias, etc.

This

Shane should be behind a renegade stable. He can still talk and provoke heat but there’s no payoff since we’ve seen him get brutalized MANY times. .. however him talking for a group of properly booked over looked talent could click.

Let them show up everywhere even NXT, NXT UK even indies the WWE is friendly with and just start fukking people up.
