Simplest way to think about this

What do humans do when we come to things we are unable to understand? We make up explanations that fit in with our own cognition. Fear of the unknown is naturally as human as breathing. Religion suppresses that fear
It really is that simple.
People running themselves in circles trying to make sense of middle eastern religions 2000 years ago.

religious folks funny as hell. this some shyt 99.9% of any christian denomination believe. non believers are supposed to know the bible better than Christians :mjlol: ?

any way the biggest issue with these fairy tale books is exactly the point you tried to make. Too much of it is up to interpretation from texts that were made thousands of years ago that whole almost no meaning in the world of today.
That's why the book ain't for everybody and wasn't written for everybody. Best selling book ever and 95% of the world don't understand what they read. And good luck if you don't have people like me around to help.

I believe he was real but his followers added a bunch of supernatural things to his life after his death to make him seem more important. You see it with cults in the modern era
why do you think he is not as important as his followers?

who do you feel is more important?

to me the least understood character in the bible and the most important is actually Nahor (river) the brother of Abraham

According to Genesis Chapter 22, Milcah and Nahor have eight children: Uz, Buz, Kemuel, Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.[7] Targum Jonathan says that Providence granted Milcah conception in the merit of her sister Sarah.[8] Milcah's son Bethuel moves to Padan-aram (also called Aram-Naharaim) and fathers Rebekah.[9] Milcah's granddaughter Rebekah eventually marries Milcah's cousin Isaac[10] and gave birth to Jacob[11] who became Israel.[12] There is a midrash that Milcah was the forebear of all prophets in the non-Jewish world.[13]

Yam’s secondary name was Nahar, “River”.[10] His most common epithet, and the third most common epithet in the Ugaritic text corpus overall, is ṯpṭ nhr,[12] “judge River” or “ruler River”,[13] ṯpṭ being a cognate of Hebrew shophet.[14] It has been suggested that Nahar might have originally been a separate deity who eventually came to be conflated with Yam

Folks have been making this claim since the beginning of time and yet the Word has stood the test of time while many other beliefs and religions have become fable or fallen by the wayside.

Natural thinking cannot discern ways of the spirit so these discussions become pointless if you view the Bible in a context of the 5 senses along with not understanding the history of the era the books were written in.

:patrice:you think God would send his Torah down to Moses just so that it could only be known to hebrew readers?

do you not think it was God who made all the translations through his own people?
