Most cultures are patriarchal - set by men. Ours isn't. Once you view things through that lens, a lot of things that are detrimental to us (obsession with shoes, clothes, and jewelry, constant need to stunt on others, lack of accountability and ability to have hard, self-critical conversations) make a lot more sense. This isn't by design and is a direct consequence of the killing and imprisoning of strong black men. It's on us to reverse it now - stop the killing and imprisonment from happening by engaging politically. And raising stronger sons. Yes and no. While the Europeans do get some privileges, it's not like they're pulling the creme de la creme. Being with a white man is like a scarlet letter. If a chick is "dating" a white man then everyone knows what's up. Chicks will be try to lowkey about it. I can't speak to other countries but in the major cosmopolitan cities (Lagos, Accra, Nairobi - to a lesser degree, etc) there's enough of a local supply of dudes that can "date" them while hiding the transactional nature of their relationship.
