the optimist in me wants to believe caleb didn't die though. eventually I imagine a search party would be sent out to find him when he doesn't return home. also Nathan was obviously a very important person so he couldn't stay dead without anyone knowing for long.

someone would have gone to the house eventually. hopefully before caleb starved to death.

Dude had no family, no girl and spent the formative years of his life in a hospital room learning how to code.

Based on his search histories, Nathan knew he was a lonely guy and morally righteous person. Give the AI the look of his perfect woman based on his porn history and you have someone that he'll over at first glance. Eva passed the Turing test, not only did she get Caleb to believe she had true consciousness, she was able to manipulate him.

Caleb kept bringing up the chess analogy. She wasn't just playing chess, she knew she was playing chess.
