Got Coachman too
On Jonathan Coachman
On or around January 18, 2016, SportsCenter anchor Jonathan Coachman (“Coachman”) emailed Ms. Lawrence offering to provide her with mentorship and providing his cellphone number. When he contacted her via text, he quickly turned a professional conversation into a personal matter, asking her about her musical interests. He was employing the ESPN predators’ playbook. Colleagues then cautioned Ms. Lawrence that Coachman was notorious for sexually harassing female employees. After learning that, Ms. Lawrence made an effort to communicate to Coachman that she had a boyfriend, after which she did not hear from him again and he made no offers of mentorship.
Coachman’s reputation for making unwelcome sexual advances toward women and engaging in other sexually harassing behavior was not a secret. Cary Chow had warned Ms. Lawrence about him when he gave the short list of men at ESPN who were notorious for sexual harassment. Coachman had sent [Sara] Walsh inappropriate photos of himself and text messages, falsely telling her colleagues that they were romantically involved and that she “wanted” him – another common practice of men at ESPN.
Coachman left ESPN for WWE in January. WWE said in a statement Tuesday that it is investigating Lawrence’s claims.
I'm confused on this one... It seems that Coach fell back quick after she started mentioning a boyfriend. If you fall back right away, how is it harassment? Plus sometimes broad do that to let a dude know she ain't choosing him. I had a broad pull that on me in the office one time at my old job; one of my coworkers was promoting parties and asked a couple of us to hand out some flyers to some of the staff for $25. No big deal; so I went to this fairly huge department (ironically I wound up working there a year later) that I knew a few people in, and start handing them out to mainly the black folk. So I get to this one broad's desk, tell her "our co-worker is promoting this, feel free to come through", and she immediately hits me with "oh OK I'll see what my boyfriend is doing that night" "OK sure" Then she goes again "yeah, if you see me there that night I'll probably have my boyfriend with me" So then I hit her with "OK, then I'll introduce the both of you to my WIFE" I think she realized how corny she came off cause she became extra friendly to me after that.
Lets say he did look at her with lust in his eyes?
How the fukk is that worthy of a legal repercussion
its about the offering to be a mentor part then changing the tune after she mentioned the boyfriend
There are ways to do this professionally. From her texts with Bucci, she wasn't no angel.why tf is saying "i have a boyfriend" a negative response?!! it's a common response breh lol, many men tell a thirsty broad "i'm taken, married, i got a girl" . you would have to be cooky or entitled to think someone is trying to be negative by telling you that. most people would just think oh "ok thats makes sense as to why you wont date me". to me "no thanks" seems a bit colder than "im not available".
well i think she did a good job at painting a vivid picture of the environment there. it seems like ogling was a major part of the fukkery at espn, she even details how security would purposely wear sunglasses so they can stare girls down without being detected.
That's what I was thinking. She said Coach fell off and just assumed that he gave out but maybe he felt disrespected that she would even say that to begin with. At the end, this is up for interpretationi know it's part of a larger suit, but the fact that "looked at me" is even in it is dumb AF. i could see including that as a detail to help paint the picture of longstanding harassment from one person - he looked at me for months, one day he touched me, he said these things...but just literally trying to throw anything at the wall about any male. ok. how does she know what bo was thinking? dude might be disgusted by her

I guess I don't find "ogling" to be invasive nor oppressive nor intimidating enough to warrant a lawsuit/be included in a suit. I mean if a dude went 1950s cartoon on you and stuck mirrors on his shoes to see up your skirt, that's one thing, but legal action because "he looked at me sexually" I mean did dude lick his lips? Do the V and tongue thing? Was he following hallways staring at you? Paint the picture you want, but if I'm a judge I'm throwing out bullshyt such as I was looked at.why tf is saying "i have a boyfriend" a negative response?!! it's a common response breh lol, many men tell a thirsty broad "i'm taken, married, i got a girl" . you would have to be cooky or entitled to think someone is trying to be negative by telling you that. most people would just think oh "ok thats makes sense as to why you wont date me". to me "no thanks" seems a bit colder than "im not available".

I interpreted that as him deciding to mess with because the situation had become akward. See nothing wrong with it in any event. We're talking about a mentorship here.its about the offering to be a mentor part then changing the tune after she mentioned the boyfriend
that is NOT illegal. If I offer to teach someone about some guidelines and she responds thinking im trying to shoot my shot...I am NOT legally obligated to teach her shyt.he also "fell back" on his promise to mentor/assist her which basically amount to what the lawsuit documents detail "quid pro quo harrassment" = you offer something professional in exchange for some sexual interaction. imagine if your boss said said they can train you for a promotion then when you turned them down for a date they "fell back" on that offer. it's illegal.
the lawsuit is about 20 pages and this is the only 3 sentences people are focusing on . she is not suing someone for looking at her, that is one part of a larger disgusting story
