I'd also like to point out that Batista never got to lead a stable and when he was in Evolution he was the lowest in the pecking order in terms of importance.

Batista singlehandedly destroyed Evolution.....Randy Orton was kicked out of Evolution before they took Hunters title back.

HHH jumped at the chance to beat Orton down but tried his damnedest to duck Batista.....just saying.

I dunno breh, Orton at the apex of his IED/Viper character (when he was still a tweener) was getting monster pops, more so than Batista's imo. (Tista was still in the company then too)
there was also a time cmpunk got louder pops than cena :yeshrug: apex stuff was new and fresh while bau's character was the same old same old doesn't mean we need to rewrite history. If randy never steps in the E again and we compare the 2, bau made it randy never did despite all vince' efforts. Case in point look at the staggering difference in how SD has been with randy as top face as oppose to bau's run

TSC's stanning of Batista, is truly pathetic, shows how goofy most of you are.

Dude was crying he was out of a match in the hammerstein, was one of the worst wrestlers on the rosters for the majority of his time and was stale and boring the ENITRE time....

Except for that 4 week period when he went heel at the end of his run and called girls fat, therefor he will get love from TSC because you guys are the most predictable simple fans in the world. And since he went out on that note, TSC forgets how downright terrible he was for 95% of his run in the company.

Go heel = TSC Support.
Question was about box office success, not likes or dislikes.

Batista was better financially for the company.

Promo wise (him yelling yeahhhhhh>>>Orton saying - my name...is Randy Orton)

Character wise, Batista was above average to good his entire run while Randy has been stale and below average at times. In the ring Orton has evolved and gotten better while Batista probably didn't, so Orton was better in the ring.

With all this said, I am not one of these Orton haters on here, he isn't great, but he doesn't suck either. And I was fan of Batista ever since his thumbs down segment. His feuds with Eddie, Taker, Mysterio, Cena and Michaels were are all really good.

Exactly, the booking of Batistas face turn was well done whereas Ortons was :shaq2:

Good point.

Though one could argue that when Batista was top face on SD, they had a more star-studded roster - a more frequent Undertaker, Rey, Edge, Eddie before he passed, Benoit, JBL, Booker T, Christian (while he was pretty over before going to TNA), Mohammed Hassan etc ...

The worst part of that face turn was how they tried to sell Orton as a the leader of the WWE locker room. Nobody was buying that shyt.

Word, dude still had that annoying douchebag look too, how were we supposed to believe Benoit Jericho etc were ready to follow him into battle?

It made no sense, he was doing HHH's bidding willingly up until he won the title. There were no signs of him wanting to break out. They made it seem like he only went against Evolution cuz they didn't want him.

Whereas Batista got rid of them and had HHH shook kayfabe wise. Having him defeat HHH 3x clean cemented him cuz he was hated back then.

if I didnt know u were a rational poster I would think u were trollin.Orton had legends lay down for him and he still couldnt draw heat..This isnt about the better rassler or who has had the classix remember. Maybe it was a predisposition to appearances but fans just gravitated to bau

No criteria was given in the OP as to what determines "bigger success" :yeshrug:

Batista wasn't a fukking "Success" either.

I never heard of one person who paid money to watch Batista.

He never moved a foot of merchandise, he was a boring/bad wrestler for his entire stay and he only had good matches with Taker/Edge when he was carried tremendously.

Even Cena carried his ass.

He was fukking awful, you idiots are lovesick with a 4 week heel run and him calling a girl fat, you're worse than the 6 year old kids

08-2010 Viper Orton>>> ANY version of Batista...

That being said, Batista was damn near close to Cena. He was "the guy"...besides Cena obviously. He had bigger feuds, bigger matches, made more money for the company, etc. I give it to Batista, based on that formula
