Not trying to force a discussion, but I get it. There's a lot on Weather or Not I like, but it's not nearly nearly as cohesive as his other albums. I think I even remember him saying he struggled real hard with sequencing that album because it was more of a collection of random songs he recorded over 7 years, and there was never one time-frame where he just was in the mood to work on an album all at once.

Cats & Dogs I think is the best blend of a cohesive album combined with his improved skills. Weatherman LP is dope, but I sept on it when it dropped, and it definitely holds up, but I still think he's a much better emcee now. @areohbee82 and me were just talking about how he's definitely moved way past the Mr Slow Flow style.

Layover EP is the big sleeper in his catalogue IMO.

Yes, exactly. It sounds like a compilation of album cuts, many of which could have easily been left out and it wouldnt have made a difference. Cats & Dogs and Weatherman LP sound so much more cohesive in comparison, from the interludes to the sequencing to the topics he touched on, they are really well crafted albums man.

Also agree with you in that C&D is his best album (took me a while to accept this as Weatherman LP was my introduction to EV and still holds a special place in my heart). Its his peak as an artist. Felt like he dropped off on "Weather or Not" but I hope this new album gives him a second wind...lets see!

most rappers full albums arent even seeing that :picard:
I agree 100%. Layover is the project that made me a legit Evidence fan. I bought Weatherman LP because my people Pooh, Phonte, and Joe Scudda were on there, and also for the beats by Jake One, Alchemist, and Sid Roams. I thought the raps were:russell: and it didn't land with me at all.

Layover for whatever reason was totally different. He was rapping a little faster, and I dunno. For some reason I just really loved it. I'm able to appreciate the rapping more on Weatherman LP now, but when it dropped it didn't connect with me at all.
:manny:

fun fact: the song Cold Weather was originally titled Cats & Dogs, and was going to be the title track on Cats & Dogs. A ton of songs were being recorded for Cats & Dogs, and the songs Cold Weather, So Fresh, and To Be Determined were all moved from Cats & Dogs onto Layover.

So glad Sebb is on here. I think he’ll have the best beats of anyone on here. I have no idea why he doesn’t put out more music. He’s people’s favorite producer’s favorite.

dope teaser vid for a high caliber project

Pardon Me is the most raw and human we’ve heard from Evidence. I fukk with it, a few shades of Navy Blue.. Looking real forward to this project, this may be his best project judging from this track alone. Fits right in with the Unlearning single. This shyt is a vibe.
