My employer tried to do this but AI wasn't as good as they though it was. It wasn't able to do nearly half the things needed to justify letting people go...yet.

Writing's definitely on the wall for me.

honestly....

everything will be affected by AI....

even medicine at some point....

there will come a time with AI and robots that they'll be able to handle medicine as well
The development curve for robotics is considerably slower than AI. So for now, physical skilled jobs are virtually safe.

fukk the medical industry :yeshrug: do you know how much of the "cost" we all hate, goes toward administrative costs? that's one industry they can AI the shyt out of, as far as im concerned

You think this is gonna save money for customers? lmao

costs will stay the same, more people will be denied coverage. The company will probably spend more money in the long term maintaining the AI if it's in house. If it's third party AI, customer data is now going through another company... The company wins, customers lose again.

cool anecdotal paragraph, but i'm not losing sleep over the disgustingly bloated medical industry cutting administrative costs. sorry :mjlol:

I used to think it was just black folks that were unserious about serious things. But honestly Americans in general are very apathetic. It’s like we have no fight in us at all as long as we have our vices. Even in France the citizens will shutdown that city if even the slightest change happens for them.

It’s crazy going into a store and you have to check your self out and it’s all macmachines
Bread and circus...bread and circus.
Thing about ai. When people are to broke to buy shyt there won't be anyone to use these conpanies services or buy their products because they'll be penny pinching
This is the thing people are missing. Soon money is not going to be the driver. It's power. The price honestly will become irrelevant as long as you have complete market control or taking it all step further complete political control. The point is maintain a position that people can never be removed from.

I got loved ones getting manhandled by the industry. The model should definitely be handled better.
But I ain't tryna see man-programmed AI deny people either. When it does, it will looked at like there was no bias.
People can reason with each other better than they can with program codes.

Administrative costs are necessary:

Administrative costs are often one of the most expensive facets of a company's overhead. This can include the cost of stocking the office with the necessary supplies, the salaries of office associates, and external legal and audit fees. Administrative costs can range from the supply of toilet paper in the office restroom to hiring an external audit firm to ensure the company complies with industry-specific regulations.
Everybody gotta eat, right?

For the record: medical insurance should be universally affordable, and better regulated so everybody can get the tax deductibles off it.

Publication 502 explains the itemized deduction for medical and dental expenses that you claim on Schedule A (Form 1040), including:

  • What expenses, and whose expenses, you can and cannot include in figuring the deduction.
  • How to treat reimbursements and how to figure the deduction.
  • How to report the deduction on your tax return and what to do if you sell medical property or receive damages for a personal injury.
