He won 73 games the next year and had a monstrous regular season and even with all that, still got embarrassed where it counts against LeBron with both teams even, just like everyone said he would. That basically deaded the LeBron v Curry talk.
Instead of coming back even stronger for the tie breaker, dude went and got KD. A literal concession that he himself did not think he was good enough to beat LeBron with his squad as is.
