I honestly have no preference on what direction they go with this draft.

I've listened to multiple arguments for taking BPA or swinging with another potential/swing selection. I've seen guards mentioned being taken with the pick. Wings that can't shoot, bigs that are projected later in the 1st round.

Haven't looked at player profiles yet. What are yal feeling?

Names I've seen thrown out there...

Cody Williams
Dalton Knecht
Stephon Castle

Ja'Kobe Walter
Ron Holland
Isaiah Collier
Zach Edey
Kyle Filipowski
Kel'el Ware
Devin Carter
Nikola Topic

These mocks are all over the place to be honest. You have guys in this list ranging from 3 to late first round. Edey is even in some 2nd Round mocks
@god shamgod

Some names that'll be in that 11 range. I crossed out the guys that thecoli took by the time the pick was up.

:yeshrug:

I really like Devin Carter. NBA comps are Josh Hart and Derrick White, if they trade Caruso, I'd be all for that honestly. There's just a lot of variance with this draft tho, so yeah. Also, won't be surprised if somebody slated to go top 5 slides down the board and is available too.

I see Edey as having a high floor and fills a need that this team clearly needs right away. With Chicago being committed to competing for the Play-In every year, I don't know if AK takes another raw talent in the 1st. He doesn't have the same job security as Gar/Pax so I think he might stay away from projects honestly.

Good to see that they are looking into addressing rim protection. Isn't the main knock on him is his health tho?
Guy was on a minutes restriction his entire time at UConn.

Averaged 13 minutes a game as a freshman and only 22 as a sophomore. He has foot related injuries already at 7'2

I'd rather take him if he fell to 11 rather than give up anything else to move up to get him. This selection would be almost as risky as taking an upside pick that has key flaws that need improvement. He may be good and be a nice fit, but if he can't stay healthy, then it doesn't matter

So we’re going to trade up to take him at 6 then:francis:
Doesn't make that much sense to me to be honest. For context, Edey played more than 30 minutes a game at his size, in the Championship game he played 39 minutes.

No need to move up for a player that has health concerns, especially a big man. You do that for sure things. Just stay at 11 and go from there. It'll be interesting to see if AK values players with higher floors vs higher ceilings in this draft. There are very interesting bigs in this draft, but at 11 they may be reaches selecting there. Wouldn't be a bad idea to trade back a little if they can if they want a 5 that they will be able up get later in the teens.

Ware out of Indiana is another guy slated for the teens, but questions about his motor is turning teams off. His tape is lit tho

:whoo:
