i could be wrong but I think what Joe was saying (and I know this is TheColi where we absolutely HAVE to shyt on wypipo and Eminem) is why when you have an older more lyrical rapper, do they HAVE to have mature or deep content, as oppose to a younger, non lyrical rapper getting away with having shytty content?

its always been a stereotype that if you're lyrically nice, you have to have deep content, or if you have deep or conscious content, you're automatically lyrically incredible (Cole and Kendrick immediately come to mind)

you can have deep content and still be shytty af lyrically....just like you can be lyrically incredible and not have the best content in the world.

but jokes and Eminem slander must fly so . i for one havent checked for an em project since bad meets evil and even then thats because of the technicality that him and royce exhibited on that album

Yes personally I expect my favorite artist to grow with the times. I don't expect nas to make iww 2 in 2017. He's not even in that space mentally or physically
