I listened to bunch of his songs on youtube when they mentioned him the first time on ES some weeks ago. Just because his name was so ridiculous. I mean he's not really a mumble rapper like that so I can enjoy some of his songs. But that song u posted still seemed different though

It's a trend now since people attention are shorter , rappers not thinking about radio play and other shyt make them cut the song down... I'm not a fan of it either but I understand it and XXX has some songs over 3 minutes

I'm down with folks messing with structure and shyt but a lot of times shyt just isn't satisfying when your song is fire but less than 2 minutes. People are still tight that Beach is Better was short on MCHG lol.

but yea I agree if you get a good song let that shyt ride for 3 minutes at least , X has some songs that could be HUGE if they were longer but I don't think that he cares

I mean seeing the concert footage, I can see how he'd feel this type of way, but as you said it feels like a detriment towards his own career.

Long songs are relatively new in the scope of music. nikkas just got used to it

Look at a lot of blues songs from the 20s, 30s, 40s. Songs were short as shyt

Longer song lengths came in when record companies started selling records

Atlanta certainly has a flamboyant ass culture, but there are SEVERAL cities with more homosexuals, it's not even in the top 20.


That aside, Joe is really, really, dismissive of artists that are from the south (unless they're 35 plus). He mixed up Dolph and BlacYoungsta and then had the nerve to say "same thing". I doubt he's listened to any music by either artist. Also, he said they were from Atlanta, which they arent. Goes to show how people just put musical acts in a box based on geography
