This don’t sound nothing like a damn swizz beat production. This is straight timbaland
And at that point, this entire thread should've been dismissed.
This don’t sound nothing like a damn swizz beat production. This is straight timbaland
Tim back in the 90s and early 2000s was somethin different. You heard records like that and weren't sure if it came from this planet let alone this country. Tim was so ahead of his time...Listen to this shyt....this sound like an alien made it
Tragic this song is not available on apple music
Jay Z and The Neptunes don't have more classics than Jay Z and Timbaland:
Jay and Timbaland:
nikka What, nikka Who
Big Pimpin
Lobster & Scrimp
Is That Your Chick
Dirt Off Your Shoulder
Jay and The Neptunes:
Give It To Me
Excuse Me Miss
Frontin
Allure
Jay-Z and The Neptunes have more classic songs together than Timbaland and Jay-Z
Give It To Me
Excuse Me Miss
Excuse Me Miss Again
Frontin'
Allure
Change Clothes
I Know
"Change Clothes", "I Know" and "Excuse Me Miss Again" aren't classics and I favor "I Know" over "Allure". "I Know" is one of my favorite Jay Z songs period, but I wouldn't count it as classic.
Change Clothes was an average Neptunes beat but it is a classic song, or at least in my opinion
Excuse Me Miss Again is a classic.
Allure is The Neptunes and Jay-Z's best collaboration in my opinion.
I Know is underrated and wasn't as popular of a single/song as their other collaborations but it's an underrated classic song.
But even by these standards, the Jay/Timbaland collaborations like "Come & Get Me", "It's Hot" and "Hey Papi" are classics.
I forgot Timbaland produced those songs
And if there's a few other Jay-Z songs produced by the Neptunes that are classics but weren't as popular there's "N*gga Please", "F*ck All Nite" and "Blue Magic"
interesting view point but all our fav classics bump till this day. take someone like dre's production varied sounds the common bond is the high quality output.
timbaland is good for RnB, that nelly furtado beat was classic.
Nah on those three. Maybe a case for "Blue Magic", but those other two are "Snoopy Track" and "Paper Chaser" status. They have their fans and may be underrated in their own right, but wouldn't scratch a Top 100 Jay Z songs.
Timberland is an rnb producer. Who jsuf so.happened to singlehandidly revolutionize drum programming for all of music tho. So in that he became a draw as a producer in any genre of pop. Of ehich had become at the time. Plus it helped tremendously. Devante swing shark bit his whole drum pattern and style for tupac's best solo song no mo pain as well.
So in that mystique based artist and legendary record as a one off.
That sound and style of production amplified timbo. That eventually his genre changing Aaliyah to Ginuwine bachelor to 100% Percent work. Ignited a complete industry and music programming focus and change globally to every genre and assimilated it as well.
So,...trying to isolate timbo production genre to genre after that point in time. Is an interesting discussion.
On top of the content of this potential discussion.

I used to think that "Hey Papi" beat was so fire as a kid. Maybe I'll revisit it, see if it sounds different, I'm sure it won't
facts.
i gave him his props but his rap joints were too more miss than hits to me, its always full blast energy with his rap joints. i wish he did more joints like bubba sparxxx - deliverance and that.
but he gets respect i remember a dre interview where he named timbaland and quincy jones as the 2 other producers with great talent.
