Disney+ expanding the mcu alone makes them more valuable as watching content and I'd rather watch something valuable
That doesn't even make sense

Viable because it extends into the next thing?

A show should be able to stand on its own

After C&WS I'm nor watching these shots unless I know they're going to be good first

Daredevil season 2, Iron Fist, and Defenders were bad. Iron Fist and Defenders might be 2 of the worst superhero shows in existence. It's hard to even discuss Luke Cage season 2 because nobody watched it.
I like Season 2 of Daredevil
Defenders was definitely trash tho

Netflix shows constantly ran too long, felt like red headed step children for the MCU, and low budget.

I felt like they were very entertaining at first, but wore out they welcome to the point I didn’t bother watching some of the second/third seasons.
I agree
I just have a new appreciation for them after watching Disney+ shows

They also did a lot more with the cinematography
And just had better writing
Characters felt more real

Hello no. Them shows didn’t feel like marvel shows, they felt like if marvel did a series on the alter egos of the superheroes.

They were too slow, too many episodes each season and I by season 3 of each show I was no longer interested. DD season two, Jessica Jones season one were dope. Luke cage was aiight and the punisher had some good violence but iron fist and defenders were some of the worst shyt I ever seen. And to be honest kingpin carried DD. Naw you tripping

They were boring to me, too much talking and not enough action. And most of the characters were unlikeble

Valuable not viable

The Netflix stuff was not connected at all to the mcu. The shows were decent but they were just shows. These shows mean more and give me anticipation for the next phase that had waned significantly. That doesnt give it leeway to be trash but it does make me pay more attention

I wish they would develop shows with that Daredevil atmosphere. Can’t Disney easily put the more adult-oriented, darker shows on Hulu? That way it isn’t associated with Disney+.

Or am I missing something here?

Daredevil is the only show Netflix had that was consistently good. Luke Cage had a good first season and Cottonmouth played a significant part in that. The rest of the shows were trash, and you won't see most of those characters coming back in any way.

To add to your point, it's also to add to the disney catalog as content for disney plus not just to add to mcu. I get it.

I also get that the netflix shows had to stand alone and therefore had a more difficult task. Everyone knowing its marvel property in the middle of the peak of mcu and not having connection to the mcu dampened their impact. I remember watching them like it's cool but it doesnt really 'matter'. Maybe if I rewatched them now that we are past infinity war and end game I'd appreciate them more. :hubie:

With that said I dont think these shows are trash but I was also off all the marvel stuff since end game and had been waiting patiently for dr strange. Perhaps my tolerance level is high right now

Avengers compound
Loki the best one and it's still mid. The problem with these MCU D+ shows is they're not subtle about existing solely to set future films and other series' up. Every show so far feels like it coulda just been some light exposition or piece of dialog in a future movie and nothing of value would be lost. These shows the equivalent of those shytty comic-book prequel or epilogue tie-ins they used to do just to give he movie villain a little more back story. Nobody read them because they didn't matter.
