Every Netflix Marvel Series was better than every MCU series

I'm sure everyone is going back and forth, but regardless of what you think is better Netflix gave Disney the blueprint on how to make amazing content with low profile characters. They were tossed to Netflix because no one at Disney thought anyone would care about people who weren't Spidey/The Avengers/X-Men. My personal preference were the Netflix shows because Daredevil and Punisher were classic level at least for the first season....and Daredevil's third season. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones were both fire at least in the first seasons.

Loki and Wandavision were pretty good, but nothing beats Daredevil or Punisher's first seasons.......nor DD's third season. That's nuts for any of you to say. We're not having that debate. Daredevil was unskippable even for casual watchers. Daredevil STILL has the GOAT fight scenes in whatever MCU content you want to pull up. The casual public cared more about Matt Murdock than they did most of the actual Avengers. That's why Disney got tight and reclaimed that shyt.

Cared More About Matt Murdock than Iron Man/Cap?

No. Just No.

I can’t wrap my head around wandavision…. I know it’s good I just can’t lock in

- If you didn't watch it in real time...you missed out on some of the elements that make it what it is. I can see it hitting different for first time binge watchers.
- It's a story about love, grief and trauma...with Marvel characters. If that's not the type of show you'd regularly watch without coating the world/characters in Marvel movie lore, WV may never 'lock in' like that for you.

Even though it was a success it's still a polarizing project, which is good.

meh...it's hard to compare but I think Netflix overachieved with what they were able to accomplish....Daredevil is dope and it's as good as you could make a daredevil IMO....Luke Cage was dope...really like both seasons....and Jessica Jones was low key maybe the best one...

I liked the Defenders and thought that there was room for growth there...Iron fist was aiight though...not terrible but I've never been a big fan of the character itself

i don't know what it is...but Netflix does really well with these non-cosmic characters and in developing their characters personalities into really well written scripted dramas. They're clearly aiming for a different audience tho...they seem to be going after the serious, adult rout...their stuff clearly isn't made for kids.

Disney stuff is largely forgettable imo...but Falcon and Winter Soldier was dope...but they seem to be going after more of a 21 and younger crowd and it shows in the writing

There seems to be a rift at Disney right now about wether or not it's time to intergrate more adult content or stay PG-13 across the board.

The fans who fought so hard for the Netflix characters to get their just due are not going to tolerate watering them down. This Hawkeye show on Netflix would be a banger...a real life Clint Barton would be a fukking nightmare to deal with lol, but you can't really tell on this Disney show, and that's coming from someone who's enjoying it so far.

Oh ok... because if that's the case, it's good that they recognize that there are two directions to work with here....but impo, I think they can do both and keep them separate and headline them as different divisions of the MCU and produce them as different storylines...that way they can maintain some consistency and integrity....trying to blend them might be too confusing and I'm sure they'de have to water down both ends to make it work

but I'm not really feeling the momentum that Disney+ has going this far...I haven't even checked out hawkeye (I will tho) because a lot of their other projects haven't really been all that impressive...but oddly, if Hawkeye were a 1 hour drama on netflix...I probably would have been all over it since I liked the other ones so much

And it's not necessarily as if it's just a preference in how they present the characters....it's just the writing for the PG-13 level has just been pretty weak....and it's not as if the PG-13 stuff can't be done well because I think they've done a really good job with the Mandelorian..but I don't know what it is exactly, but the Disney+ stuff just hasn't clicked all that well with me

We're on the same page.

The Ms. Marvel show is gonna be about a tween, let it be for tweens. Roll out your Squirrel Girl series or Spiderman Freshman year for that demographic. Take some cues from the Netflix shows, particiarly Jessica Jones and Daredevil on tone when it comes to characters like Moonknight and don't reach too hard to get everybody in the same room.

When you're writing to make sure actual 'kids' can get it too you're limited. That works in the films for the most part but TV is different.

Disney needed a place to show them since the options at the time were ABC and a Disney animated channel (I think. A kids channel either way)

Netflix cancelled all the shows before Disney+ started up, so being tight because of DD love and reclaiming it doesn’t make much sense

She's dope, can see the set up for young avengers unfolding.

Armor Wars is what I'm looking forward to. Don deserves a chance to really flex and I think he will.

That's another thing too

Nikkas saying MCU shyt is better when it's all kiddy shyt

They don't even feel like real shows

When I watch Daredevil I get that feeling back lime when I watched Alphas or Person of Interest

MCU has lowered the bar for quality

And I'm not a MCU hater, I wanna see No Way Home

But I just watched the first episode of Punisher and it blows all the MCU shyt out of the water
