:boss:

I was looking for an part time helpdesk job couldn't find one to fit into my work schedule so I took a part time gig doing something else just to pay back some of them student loans.

Check with the hospitals in ur area. They need 24/7 support and alot of times the employees are long term which usually means they got a family. That opens up alot of opportunity to get the odd shifts that nobody wants to take. I usually come in between the day shift and overnight crew. So I have a window between 5pm and 10pm to get in a few hours every night. Then on the weekends they let me come in whenever I want because they are always short handed. As long as I'm over 20 and under 40 a week I'm good.

The only issue is they will probably want you to work during the day for a couple weeks to adjusted to their shyt. But I just took a 2 week vacation from my main job while I was there during day.

only worth it for certain pay. two minimum wage jobs will have you mad at the world. i did that in college and it was WOAT. always being tired, having somewhere to go and no free time for barely enough cash.

I'm trying to do that now, to pay for the luxuries of life like a new car, upgrade in my living situation.

Might as well do it when I'm young and energetic.

As a matter of fact I applied to one hospital last week. The pay for tier 1 :ohlawd:

When I was younger.

Somebody had to support my Jordan and Iceburg attire. My parents sure weren't..... :manny:

Yup never had any problems until my body was like your to hungover to work weekends

Worked a salaried marketing job full time but rarely worked more than 30 hrs a week
Then a weekend sales job that I was cool with the manager so I could not clock in and get away with it. Then the management team changed and I said fukk it.

working two jobs helped significantly in shaping me as a man. i realized how important money is. because every single minute that i spent working those two jobs reminded me of how much I didn't like to work.

i realized how important money is. which is why i am now 100% against debt or spending money on frivolous things (luxury cars, etc) because when u have debt, that means u have to work. that debt needs to be paid off.

when i worked two jobs, including commute (catching the train/buses), i was putting in like about 95 hours a week. that was miserable.

folks call me "cheap" now because i refuse to be free with my money like they are. i laugh at these n1ggas cause i know exactly what it is like to have to work because u have to. and by the grace of god, i sure as hell aint going back to that stage in my life under no circumstance. EVER.

yeah man. i was going like 4 days without showering. yes.

i worked in westchester new york. and had a second full time job in downtown manhattan. i lived in jersey.

westchester was a night job. manhattan job was the day job. after i get done with westchester, instead of driving the 60+ miles back home to jersey, i'd catch the train to downtown manhattan. work my 6-8 hour shift, hop back on the train, head back to westchester. do it all over from sunday to thursday.

not being able to shower for 4 days made it harder. and not being able to sleep took a toll on me.

i did that to pay off my car. i had just bought a new car with zero down (i had no money). and since i dont like debt to be hanging over my head, i wanted to pay that sh1t off asap.

took about 8 months to pay it off. and once i did, i worked an additional one month just to have savings.

after that, i quit the second job. shortly after, quit the other job. found another job in jersey.

my view on spending money changed after that experience. cant nobody tell me money doesn't buy happiness.

I used to work at CVS and Home Depot, both part time, when I was 19, and since I wasn't paying a rent (living with my parents) I was able to stack some chips. Unforunately, I went back to college the next semester and my money disappeared after paying for a bunch of fukking useless ass books.

I'm working manual labor right now and making pretty good money (nothing spectacular, but between hours and tips decent paper) but this shyt is killing my body. Working six/seven days a week, six hours a day in the hot ass sun ain't what's poppin'. I'm basically applying everywhere I can right now in the hopes of getting a couple of jobs (minimum wage, part-time, whatever) so I can phase out of this shyt.
