I loved the game. Yeah the premise may have been better than the product but I remember enjoying it, cause the story was fun and kind of original.

That being said barring a miracle this movie will be ass.

You're talking about taking 10 or 11 characters telling their backgrounds in a pretty decent manner as well as their times and then setting up the tournament to who survives, and explaining the External Champion.

Not holding my breath but you don't do all the characters and try to make them the focus. You take 3 of them, kind of like they did with Mortal Kombat back in 95. Then build around that. A problem you run into these days is that everyone wants/thinks EVERYONE should be in the project. And that's just not viable/feasible.

Exactly. Then you got maybe 5 tops. It almost needs to be set up as a two-part movie sequel. Cause that's waaayyy to much to jam in.

I was a big Sega head back then and was highly anticipating this game too. But it just felt outdated and bland when it finally dropped. I still have the cartridge and fired it up a year or so ago. Brought back memories.
