Had this game on Genesis as a kid...I liked it but shyt was too difficult, I was never able to beat it :beli:

As far as the movie :yeshrug: I'll keep an open mind. After all they somehow made live-action Sonic movies work.

It would have been smart to have a remade game and some buzz so the movie wasn't completely unknown when it drops.

Even at its peak it was lost in the sauce. Killer Instinct was more well-known

The real problem with the game was forcing you to start over after one loss to the final boss. That dude was brutal, and it was tough to learn his habits when he had a bunch of variation and you only got one try at a time. I only ever beat it with the Caveman, and he wasn't even my favorite character. I liked the detective looking dude.

This may have been a cool idea 25 years ago but Eternal Champions is not a premier fighting game franchise.

But that money into a sequel.

The only hope this movie has is if like another poster mentioned, do it from the perspective of 1 -3 folks.

I'd be partial to Jonathan Blade myself cause of the futuristic items associated with him.

Would have been better if they clarified more about out the EC itself.
When I think about it the game was kinda deep moves wise. Had interesting settings and weird brutality. It was bad timing as the fighting genre was so saturated with favorites already established. Just got lost in the mix.

You know what Sega Genesis game was tough, Heavy Nova. That shyt used yo give me a headache as a kid. I'd settle for the more cartoony Cyborg Justice. I haven't thought about those games in ages like Eternal Champions.

I am going to need them to make a Ranger X movie:banderas: that shyt was like a Mecha Strider.

Tbh the most common SEGA video games that I thought would happen besides Sonic are Comix Zone, Altered Beast, Gunstar Heroes(pls), Earthworm Jim, Toe Jam & Earl, and Streets of Rage. Never have I ever thought of an Eternal Champions movie:patrice: Might have to be there day one.

Edit: Add Kid Chameleon and Gain Ground to the list of Sega movies I thought of as a kid growing up.

I'm still :wtf: that they haven't brought Comix Zone back

A movie/show/sequel whatever to that would have GOAT potential.
