I understand it's wrong to hit women and I accept that admitting such should might necessitate reprimand in the work place. Fair enough, but I also believe people tend to have disagreements and speaking on peaceful resolutions in male-female relations shouldn't be punished. Kellerman didn't justify hitting women; he spoke on a mistake he made and the complex negotiation that is the difference between protecting oneself from harm and respecting females. Kellerman spoke on the positive, rather than negative, resolution which followed his initial and ultimate mistake. If it were up to me I'd give Kellerman a pass this one time for besmirching the ESPN name and warn him that if ever speaks on abusing women on air again, his employment will be up for question.

It's exactly why I say race relations and gender relations or even sexuality in this country will never get better. Everything has to be so censored and the second you start having real honest discussion about a subject people get offended and people get punished. Until you get the real talk out there and are able to debate or discuss the different viewpoints, even the fukked up ones, there will never be progress. All these suspensions do is make anybody who really is a woman beater even more quiet. Open, honest communication is needed to be able to change the fukked up viewpoints. For instance, way more progress would've been made if Beadle and Stephen A sat down and discussed why is provoke comment was wrong or for him to explain what he meant by his comment versus just suspending him and trying to bury that it ever happened.
