You're a respectable guy around here.

But this a weak ass train of thought.
whats weak about it? where does fighting with a woman fit in on a sports show? at the network that just had a shytstorm with the stephen a smith fiasco about the exact same topic. you gotta know when you just shouldnt say shyt and keep it movin, whether or not you have a valid point on some topics. its just not worth the potential backlash. unless you dont value having a good job, then you can feel free to speak your mind

The Ray Rice fiasco help fit it in.

The only thing that should matter is having a valid point. Things going unsaid don't help the situation.

people keep talking about what "should matter." thats not how it is though. the reality is your point, valid or not about so called sensitive topics anymore, doesnt mean shyt. thats the reality. nowhere in here did i say i agree with that reality. it doesnt matter what max's point was. he brought up a decades old story, and said he smacked his girlfriend. you really cant see how dumb it was on his part for even bringing this up? you simply have to know better as a public figure to even mention something like that anymore

sure, it would be nice if you could have rational discussion about certain topics. thats not happening anytime soon though, especially at a sports outlet

These dudes don't get it man.. They keep trying to talk about what's "fair" instead of what's real...

They want it to be one way, but its another way..

Try to pretend double standards don't exist brehs...

irrelevant. if you are a host of a fukking sports talk show, why would you start a discussion about a fist fight you had with a woman. literally nothing good can come from it. zero. you wont gain shyt from entering into that discussion, and are only putting your career at risk. any public figure who talks sideways on a public forum about gays, jews, women, race or anything else remotely sensitive these days is a complete idiot

I dont know about Vegas, but here in Dallas most sports radio shows(not named ESPN) the hosts talk about sports 65% and 35% about life and other stuff.

The realiy is, the guy should not have been reprimanded from talking about somethign that happened 20 yrs ago....but that's also the diffference between working for Disney vs whoever else
