shes a woman tho. im not saying the double standard is right. im saying people like stephen a and max kellerman should know better in this day and age then to open that can of worms. what good can come from talking about striking a woman, provoked or not? nothing. if you value your job, you keep quiet on issues like that. thats my whole point

But that's the thing tho. I'm all for people speaking out on this. Why hold your tongue?

you can speak out on it if you want to put your career in jeopardy. what benefits will you gain from talking about hitting a woman when youre hosting a sports show?

this has to begin somewhere. everyone's behavior should be able to be called into question not just a man's. a woman can go ape shyt crazy and society will treat her like an innocent child. Solange attacks Jay-Z in an elevator and society wonders what he did to her to bring that on. If he attacked her that question wouldn't even be asked and he'd have been arrested and called a vile piece of shyt.

as a man you can't even use moderate force against a woman if she attacks you. you better back down or run away. you don't get to stand your ground.

He doesn't have to hold his tongue. You gotta accept the consequences of doing so though. I tell white people the same thing when I hear that "black people say the n word, why shouldn't I be able to?". You can say it all you want...just don't cry about the consequences, whatever they may be, after the fact.

You're a respectable guy around here.

But this a weak ass train of thought.
