Best defender in the league, one of the most versatile players out there in his prime vs an out shape, 33 year old chucker who led his team to the lottery for like the past 4-5 years :umad:
If Draymond is the best defender in the league then why doesn't he just guard LeBron in the Finals every season while he's averaging triple doubles and scoring 30 every game? Why do they use him to "take out" Tristan Thompson from the game?

Draymond is a great team defender, one of the best help defenders of his generation, but I find it hard to call him the best defender in the game.

In his entire tenure with the knicks, they only managed to get him two years with a good pg.

He will only go as far as his starting pg.

He has to find a way to get to Houston.

Honestly I feel the reason Melos "underachieved" is because of point guard issues. Dude is a pure scorer people always expect him to be Lebron or some shyt, that's not his game. Give him a good PG to distribute & run the offense like Billups when they got to the WCF or even Felton that one good year in NY and Melo (and his team) look a whole lot better. That's why he kills it in the olympics and would great in Houston.

:dwillhuh: No one's guarding Bron 1 on 1 in the league and there are players more equipped to do that on GS; i.e. Iggy & even KD.

Dray's strength lies in his ability to be the best team defender in the league, easily one of the top help defenders on the league and being one of the best, if not the best, at equally switching on bigs & guards.

Yes, breh, you're proving my point. You're the best defensive player in the league, but your coach is going to choose two, possibly three, other players ON YOUR OWN TEAM to guard the other team's best player? :usure:

:dahellbill:

Putting him exclusively on Bron is dumb because it takes away from other facets of his defense and Bron will get his regardless. I don't really like Bron but you're not really guarding him 1-on-1 and Dray has done a good job when called upon.

What does being in the East have to do with the regular season record?

You get to play 52 games against that conference, 16 of which are in your own division (4times each team)

The 11-12 miami heat went 46-20 and had a 20-46 Wizards squad and a 7-59 Bobcats in their division

On the contrary, the 11-12 Spurs went 50-16 and had a 41-25 grizzlies team and a 36-30 mavs team and a 34-32 Rockets team.

Cakewalk victories are more guaranteed in the Eastern conference because they have lesser talent than the western teams.

theres also been MULTIPLE instances where there are MULTIPLE sub .500 playoff teams in the east since 2000,

in the same time span, out west there have been instances where the 5th and 6th seed have 50 wins
