White people love pushing the narrative of young brothas being criminals and you dudes eat it up like candy :snoop:

Will not watch. Plenty of great black HS teams where the kids later went on to be successful but they don't want to show that though

It wasn't that cut and dry. Its a great story to tell and not just a story of young brothas being criminals. Could be a great coming of age type movie if done with some budget. More compelling of a story than Friday Night Lights, IMO. That '88 team alone had nearly 20 kids go D-I and a handful make it to the NFL. Jessie Armstead of Miami and NY Giants probably being the most famous. There was also big controversy about the title being stripped. Lower courts had thrown the case out and it ended up being revisited later by the UIL(Texas high school governing body). There were apparently some swagged out recruiting moments too.

shyt like this is so common in Dallas

so much talent for a city but nikkas STAY throwing they life away wanting to play in the streets

Dallas is the 4th largest metro in the country, only behind NYC,LA and Chicago, but you barely see anyone come out the city, for reasons like this.
shyt is sad

About two weeks ago, I took my cousin up to a car dealership and the sales guy randomly asks me where I was from and where did I go to school???

I told him I wasn't from Texas but I went to HS here and played football. Long story short turns out the sales guy was PK, Patrick Williams. He started talking to me about the Carter Glory days.

It was crazy, I told him I played against Carter & Kimball when we were all 4A. He said ESPN got a lot of interviews on him and that the documentary would be great. He's a good dude.
