Just got around to watching this, the Netflix movie did a good job on this team as well, more of like the inside reason on why they started robbing.

Having Randy Galloway kick off the documentary was great, really miss him 103.3, dude was the reason I first enrolled in broadcast journalism.

It seems PK was the sole reason the robberies started, he planted the idea & it esclated quickly.

Overall it was a good documentary, it was short and to the point. I wished it had more on the background of the HC at the time but I definitely enjoyed it.

I miss the DISD days when I was in HS of molina, ND, BA, carter, Kimball...:wow:

Finally caught up with this doc and enjoyed it. Crazy how talented those brehs were.
This also cleared up some questions I had after watching the movie on them.

What could have been. Greed was their downfall. Kids came from good homes too which makes it more tragic.

Exacly.

I think that's why this 30 for 30 has affected me more than most of the other ones

I know what they did was wrong and they deserved to be punished for being entitled and stupid, but when that judge started reading those sentences, I was damn near like:mjcry:.

They were so close.

All they had to do was not fukk up and a lot of those dudes could've been millionaires.

It wasn't poverty or bad homes or the racist system.

You can't even blame the judge.

I just can't even understand why they would do what they did. I mean, they didn't need the money

This shyt hurt my heart, brehs.:snoop:
Why make a 30 For 30 on this:gucci:

Oh, I don't know, the greatest high-school football team in history has 11 people on it go to prison for robbing people while many of them have scholarships to Div. I colleges.

Why would anyone want to see a story on that?:mindblown:

Damn man this was hard to watch. Especially being from the Southern sector of Dallas County. :mjcry:

I knew all about this team. Because my Step-Father was Jessie Armstead barber from high school all the way to the pros.

His Father gave my Step-Father tickets to Super Bowl XXXV. When the Giants played the Ravens.

wow, wonder why they didnt include you in the 30/30 doc:ehh:

Jessie Armstead telling his boys Nah :wow:

Saved himself...could have easily given in to peer pressure.

Can just imagine the struggle he felt with wanting to save his friends, but then not betray them either. :mjcry:
