the league flopped because it was pointless. it was just minor league football with high production value.
there was no intriguing twist to the gameplay like i thought there would be. I was expecting some over-the-top barbaric chit like "super high impact football" on sega back in the day.
I know they had art shell and birthed "he hate me" but other than that, i cant remember any other known names.
arena football has a place because its a different brand of football.
I liked that UFL league that was around in 2009 because they had big name coaches, as well as players that could've been playing in the NFL instead, and went back to the NFL the following year.
the world league was dope too and in co-hoots with the NFL, later turning into NFL Europe.
of course the CFL is the CFL.
XFL just didn't give me a reason to sit there and watch the games. and it didn't help that they didn't separate themselves from the WWE.
