its very believable. Ali was polarizing in the 70s. OJ was not.

The re-writing of Muhammad Ali started in the early 90s.
Ali was a worldwide figure. Heavyweight champ was a global award. Bigger than anything the NFL could produce. NFL football still isn't big globally 40 years later. And why do people act like being hated doesn't contribute to popularity? It's not only the people that like you, hate counts just as much. You could argue George Foreman was bigger in '74.

It doesn't occur to white people that black people have many types of looks just like them.

Their racist mindset is basically, "if you don't look like you're from the deepest part of central africa, you don't count as black" (no disrespect to my Central African brehs). :snoop:
