An Olympian is a nobody? LOL. Ramirez is the goods. He was the favorite going in almost 2 to 1.

BoxRec is actually wrong. He's 6-1. He failed to make weight twice in title bouts.

=====

Those opponents in the championship fights:
  • Vicente Martin Rodriguez (Darkseid Dan Turpin level "Who?")
  • Eloy Perez (crack fiend)
  • Vicente Escobedo (didn't make weight)
  • Antonio DeMarco (good win but the only reason either of them have this strap is because Valero went batshyt killing his wife and himself)
  • Gavin Rees (Rod Salka before Rod Salka)
  • Paul Malignaggi (wins a squeaker against Dr. CottonFist)
  • Marcos Maidana (in the words of Erick Sermon on Hardcore "Mess with me and get your manhood 'tooken'")
  • Khabib Allakhverdiev (softened up by Broner's next opponent Vargas who will do the sport a favor and finally cement his status as AP - About Pennies*)
  • Ashley Theophane (didn't make weight and if Malignaggi's fists are made of cotton, Theophane's fists are pillows)

* = shoutout to BloodBoxing

I knew broner resume was suspect but as time goes on it looks worse and worse :scust:

That being said Iman would kill to have Broners "success" and pay days. At least Broner did enough against bums to allow Haymon time to build buzz and hype

Oh ya I know who he is, it escaped my mind.

What gym does he train at?
It was at Sierra Athletic Club but it's Fitness Evo now. He would also show up at another gym his strength and conditioning coach trains at on Weber and Shaw but it closed down recently. He's at Synergy now on Herndon and First

He needs Mayweather Sr. to teach him how to use the shoulder roll the right way. He gets clipped with left hooks & overhand rights way too often

His shoulder roll is actually decent, his biggest problem is not jabbing consistently. He allows dudes to walk him down too much and they invade his space too easily. nikkas gotta learn to keep that jab hand high to pick and parry shots once dudes are all up in they shyt. They get so used to fighting with the hand down, that they misjudge the range and nikkas go over the top with it or step in their range and crowd them.

You shouldn't be shoulder rolling 4 and 5 punch volleys several times throughout the round. You find an opening to counter or pivot and turn your opponent so you can reset with your offense.

nikkas make the shoulder roll look bad, because they overdo it and try and look cool in shyt, instead of allowing it so set up counters once you got your target in range. Amir had a lot of opening to fire, but dude was too caught up in playing defense and letting Ramirez gain traction.

the incompetent shoulder rolling and constant backpedalling was frustrating to watch.

i dont know if he will be getting anymore basic cable exposure unless they are feeding him to some other prospect. sad to see him like this

Like you said his shoulder roll’s decent but he doesn’t parry with the right hand at all like Floyd does & he doesn’t raise his right hand high enough to catch left looks either. 2 major flaws I see in his defense. Also for overhand rights he doesn’t make his target smaller like Floyd because if he did he would be able to counter the overhand right. Those moves should be muscle memory automatic when a fighter makes contact with his shoulder. He should automatically know which punches to throw & he doesn’t which to me shows he doesn’t know it well but can imitate certain aspects of it

And he drew 488k viewers on ESPN at that:scust:

Get outdrew by college wrestlers, and be called not a "nobody" bc you made the Olympics (but didn't medal) 6 years ago:martin:
