Yall need to stop mentioning Broner name next to these "never was'".

Broner won 4 Championships & managed to be P4P #6...Imam hasnt proven he can beat an average fighter yet.

Vacant titles against nobodies and a junk title @ welter barely edging Paulie Malinaggi.

Yeah pretty much what I imagined before, Ramirez grinded him down. Only that I thought Imam won’t be tough enough to go 12.

Prograis vs Ramirez will be entertaining, rocking with Regis there. Both are all out war offensive guys but Prograis seems to be a bigger puncher, smarter, trickier and has a better headmovement if he decides to get it going.

Even to the simplest measure, Imam just lost a fight for a vacant title against a nobody...Broner is 7-1 in Championship fights.

That alone shows you that you cant use his name in the same sentence as Broner.

An Olympian is a nobody? LOL. Ramirez is the goods. He was the favorite going in almost 2 to 1.

BoxRec is actually wrong. He's 6-1. He failed to make weight twice in title bouts.

Those opponents in the championship fights:
  • Vicente Martin Rodriguez (Darkseid Dan Turpin level "Who?")
  • Eloy Perez (crack fiend)
  • Vicente Escobedo (didn't make weight)
  • Antonio DeMarco (good win but the only reason either of them have this strap is because Valero went batshyt killing his wife and himself)
  • Gavin Rees (Rod Salka before Rod Salka)
  • Paul Malignaggi (wins a squeaker against Dr. CottonFist)
  • Marcos Maidana (in the words of Erick Sermon on Hardcore "Mess with me and get your manhood 'tooken'")
  • Khabib Allakhverdiev (softened up by Broner's next opponent Vargas who will do the sport a favor and finally cement his status as AP - About Pennies*)
  • Ashley Theophane (didn't make weight and if Malignaggi's fists are made of cotton, Theophane's fists are pillows)

Imam looked so promising beating the shyt out of Walter Castillo. Fast hands, strong jab , good power and accuracy in his right, could use his elbows shoulders etc to play defense......fast forward three years later.

This dude fights like every round is the first. He stands up too straight to do the shoulder roll and has no game going backwards. When Rameriez stsrted landing those caveman left hooks and overhand rights I knew it was over. I think Imam through 10 right hands even though it was open all night. Massive disappointment from a once promising fighter. Rameriez has a bootleg Porter style he’s okay but not ready for the next level of 140s

He's originally from Avenal but lives in Fresno. His manager and strength and conditioning coach are in Fresno. He used to train at the gym all the time.
Oh ya I know who he is, it escaped my mind.

What gym does he train at?

watched the fight

i dont understand how someone who can slip punches as well as he does but his ability to move his head is poor...this was an issue before granados...i think there's a slight disconnect somewhere between his ability to turn defense into offense...i says slight bcause he will slip or roll punches longer than he should without firing back or using his legs to get away or create more space for himself..offensively he throws nice punches but he didnt throw enough to keep ramirez (who was there to be hit and was) off him..and he got grinded down..but he showed heart..which is what i looked for and was not disappointed in that...this wasnt the granados fight where he got worn down and stopped because of pressure..he still fought as hard as he could for 12 rounds...i had it 116-112 ramirez..115-113 or 117-111 from the judges cards i can live with...but it was no 120-108..that motherfukker filled out his card before the intro was done lol.
