No it’s not. Every time Benavidez touched Crawford’s chin he was effected. Thurman has big pop.
He was effected? Hell nah... he was throwing back w the same intentions every round.
If a fighter doesn’t put someone away as wuick as expected this unnecessary nitpicking criticism always starts.
I remember Thurman was hurt bad by a Collazo bodyshot and that he didn’t put Guerrero away, still beat Porter and Swift.

He went into some tough exchanges vs Porter
You don’t see my point though? He got hurt by lesser opponent in Collazo and before the Swift fight this was brought up (not sure if here) too as of why Thurman will lose, “he can’t take bodyshots” and etc... then he beat Swift widely and never been hurt by him.
Crawford wasn’t even close to the trouble Thurman got into against Collazo.

Ppl like to be supercritical of high level fighters they don’t like. Floyd, Pac, Loma, Crawford, etc...
If ppl nitpick you like that it’s basically a sign that you’re very good

The subject of criticism in this case is
1: he lost like 2 rounds and it was close until like the 5th (everybody knows he’s not a fast starter)
2: he took a few punches (really not that many btw)

That’s not a strong case to have imo

This fight wasn't all that close. It was competitive at the start, but people are giving Benavidez too much credit.

If Jose was 5'8 instead of 6 ft, he would have been dominated from the get go and most likely stopped even earlier
And if he didn't have a bum knee, he'd give Crawford even greater problems

I see ppl who haven’t liked Bud before be like

“Benavidez could win 2 rounds! :gladbron:

Crawford almost didn’t finish him :gladbron: but just almost... :sadcam:

Have a good one brehs but we all know this is just storm in a teacup.
He knocked his ass out abd he was ahead like 10-2 that’s the story of the fight.

It's the story of a DCAF.

DCAF: "Well, fighter A won the first four rounds. He exposed fighter B."
Boxing Nerd: "What happened in the fifth?"
DCAF: "Well, fighter A got knocked clean the fukk out. But, it don't matter. He still exposed fighter B."

I think I see what you are getting at but what "DCAF" stands for?

It's the same folks who had Maidana beating Floyd in the first fight even though Floyd won 9-3 or 10-2. Him being competitive scewed their judgment on the fight unfolding.

Some dudes can be washed competitively but still make the fight fun to watch.

Cotto fought well vs. Floyd but got washed by Nelo....who washed (and always would) wash Nelo.

Triangle theory fans are delusional
