Is it me or does everyone just conflate black struggle with being poor? :patrice: Blackness is not even a thing, it's just "poor" and "being poor". The way people analyze black folks and all their o "poorness" like test subjects. Like poorness is just this genetic and inherent component of blackness. "
Erykah Badu queen of the hoteps has lost it.

This is more proof that black entertainers are full of shyt. Atleast 75% of them.

You think they gonna spit that real about the black struggle in society and then they say some fluffy duffy bullshyt like this to be all inclusive and to not alienate their white and non black fanbases who would consider it polarizing. Also so she doesnt get attacked.

Get the fukk out of here with that shyt. I cant relate to that. I grew up rich and black and the poorest white person in america would NEVER want to trade places with me.

And why do corny ass black folks want others especially non blacks and whites to feel accepted as they can be included in the black struggle.

:pacspit:
Fvck that.
Yall the reason we struggling and we know it.

fukk out of here with this goddamn "we are the world" bullshyt.

There's this weird penchant where black people with voices feel the need to be inclusive to everyone not black. Black activists, "intellectuals", and liberals cape for this "solidarity" and coalition of all races that has no valid basis. The biggest signifier is using the term "POC".

You'll notice this everytime:

"...and other oppressed people", "... and other people of color" "and solidarity for all POCs..." "And ALL poor people..."

Notice everyone else's struggles HAVE to be shoehorned in ours, in some little tidbit or fashion.

She isn't dismissing race at all. She is including class into the debate

She sees our political present as a test of seriousness on more than one front. “We can organize like a motherfukker when police beat us up,” she says. “But can we organize to stop black-on-black crime, or poor-on-poor crime? Because, you know, poor is the new black. You don’t have to be black now.

She's CLEARLY trying to replace race with class. That's an obvious dismissal.

Sit yo dumb ass down :martin:
