C'mon, breh, don't play me thaaattt.
Like you said; like 3 giants own all media
I admitted they don't respect black audiences
Hell, I don't think Black Panther will change much
You misunderstanding me; it's racism, but, it's more complex than white people not wanting to see more positive black images
Even Rap music is basically every one doing sing songy pop shyt
I'm not saying anything more than what erika alexander said; she said herself and others just simply weren't working
ironically Bokeem Woodbine said the exact same thing a few weeks ago on the breakfast club too
your argument is that it's "just business" okay, fine. so again, if something isn't broke, why fix it?
Living Single, Steve Harvey show, The Parkers etc etc....these shows clearly weren't doing Seinfeld numbers
but any show that runs longer than 2 seasons and has commercials running during it is doing pretty good
so why would they just throw away something that advertisers were still spending money on?
and this definitely happened in the music business - when was the meeting among black folks where we said we didn't want to hear any more gospel and R&B on our radio stations?
that all we wanted to listen to 24/7/365 was hip hop and nothing else
