I apologize. Flew off the handle there. I owe you a rep
It's all love...
I kinda did the same thing yesterday...
I wrote this long piece yesterday where I tore into the whole situation...but just as I was about to post, I had CNN on the TV and watched as that brotha something Embry or whatever was telling HIS side of the story. I just erased everything I wrote and decided to just write what's there now, until I could get into more facts of this case...
Seems like racism, believe me, I know some exists in here too, but I just can't be 100% certain of where to apply it. The altercation with the girl was the most obvious to me...i'm still 50-50 on when he drew the weapon on them kids though. They did come around his back real quick, in that situation it's no time to think, he did what he thought was right (at that moment)....Still, I thought there was too much heavy-handedness in the whole situation. Cop just couldn't wait to have a moment like this where he could pull his strap and possibly use it...
Cops don't get benefit of the doubt anymore to me. Even my uncle and cousin (both of whom are cops) get side eyed from me. I ask a TON of questions to them, even encourage them to speak up for the "good guys" like them but they tell me its a VERY complicated situation (especially since they're black officers)
