Two liars right here. TNA around 03-08 was a legitimate alternative to the WWE (07 was shaky but still). The crowds were great, some of that cringe was gone from its inception, and you were just straight up having great matches. Punk, Joe, Styles, Angle, Daniels, XXX, AMW, (and the tag division in general), Monty Brown, Abyss, and several others were holding TNA down during that period, including the woman. I will say that TNA’s downturn did start before Hogan/Bischoff came in, but when they did come in, it was a swift descent. They basically hit the restart button (similar to WCW when they vacated all the belts) and you saw every single non-homegrown TNA getting rocketed in front of homegrown guys.

Only prob TNA had before Hogan and bischoff was russo schizo booking

He's a sneaky salesman, so he'll obviously pitch his ideas and convince bunch of marks how he was innocent in all of that fiasco. I am glad bytchoff hasn't been a part of any wrestling promotion for a while. There are enough idiots already.
I always enjoy when he says he isn't interested in joining AEW or WWE, though he seems to say it more frequently with AEW. No one interested in bringing you in you dumb motherfukker. There's a reason why the only thing you ever got to do in AEW was be a host of a few sitdown things. No one is giving you creative control in any capacity.

Wrestling core perspective TNA was making noise as the ratings were somewhat a big deal ala how Dub is doing nowadays (1.5's etc). The Hogan/Bischoff fiasco was more of pulling a red wire, while having to deal with the blue wire in the end. The fan base hated the changes and sadly that made up the majority of the ratings. The casuals came in but went when they realize that Hoegan was being a bytch made blonde asshead about every day thing (not showing up,, getting rid of the six sides and gloating about it, and trying to bring his old ass friends to kill the vibe). I mean, this cocksucker brought in the Nasty Boys :scust: .

Laspsed Fan pointed this out...fans wanted to see Hoegan wrestle, and not so much being an authority figure. The whole era made TNA look like chumps from Dixie damn near throat gagging him, Jarrett bipolar ass trying to make the dumb ass storylines work, Bischoffs obsession with bikers and shyt, and just throwing the TNA OGs in the bushes for old ass wrestlers and a drugged up Hardy.

Once IMPACT slowly found themselves, the damage was already done. Hell, they had to make a meme match to get a buzz, but sadly it became a solar eclipse of potential MOTY candidates (Spud/EC3).

IMPACT will forever be an enigma of professional wrestling. It should have died so many times, but somehow they are still holding it down. Meanwhile, companies like CZW are damn near in ICU.
CZW have never been a big players. It's just a backyard of backyards, like XPW and all that crap. Their fanbase are bunch of social outcasts from redneck areas.

TNA/Impact off their history alone could still attract some viewership, to see if maybe they have interesting wrestlers with potential.

2010 was a horrible year for professional wrestling. TNA should have always stayed as a product with younger wrestlers doing their thing. Them going that old washed up Hogan buddies route, when WWE themselves were hiring old has beens, made wrestling damn near unwatchable.

The idea of Hogan mentoring Samoa Joe, AJ Style, etc. sounded frightening even back then, and 10+ years later even the most casual fans found out who Hogan was for real.

The people who claim tna was something to look out for pre hogan are lying.

Might as well been MLW

It didnt work, but bringing in hulk was sound as far as getting them looks. Pretending otherwise is lying.

TNA was doing a million on Spike before Hogan came, comparing that to MLW is crazy :gucci:

There was even a TNA chant on Raw during that Trump vs Rosie o Donnell garbage

bytchoff is one of the biggest idiots in professional wrestling history. Ruining two professional wrestling companies and being a part of one of the worst WWE Raw product era's ever, circa 2002-2004.

He's like Doc Rivers, living off one two successful years in his entire career, while constantly given a great talent to fail over and over again.

He's a sneaky salesman, so he'll obviously pitch his ideas and convince bunch of marks how he was innocent in all of that fiasco. I am glad bytchoff hasn't been a part of any wrestling promotion for a while. There are enough idiots already.

Tna never mattered. 1 million 20 years ago aint today. Stop.

A million in 2012 is like 300k today. They were never a player. Theyre highest average rating was when he was there like it or not.

Whether it worked or not is not the point. As a business move it made sense to juice the rest of his star power out of him.

It didnt work tho. But tna was NEVER a contender. Its nothing like aew. Saying it hit a million is playing coy. Raw was averaging like 3-4 mil then. Less than half the people are watching the show nowadays so saying a million like its competing with aew is a lie.
TNA actually made a PROFIT in 2007, 2008 & 2009 before Hogan came in
Whats that mean? Jeff jarret said they made like 100k a week. Thats 5.2 mill a year. Aew made 65 mil in 2020. 100 mill last year.

They tried to make that money and failed. But they took a shot. Is mlw hyperbole yea. But tna is nowhere near aew. Its levels below. Let alone wwe. Its certainly inbetween the 2.

And even that was light years ahead of Bischoff/Hogan's dikkheaded ideas. Yes the majority of us can't stand the cocksucker, but Russo made TNA. Dude's chaotic booking was a gift and a lump of coal for the company, but it had legs.

You have never seen Russo get rid of the six sides and other nonsense to go "I'M TAKING YOU HIGH BRO!!"

Bischoff is the prime example of a opportunist and a lucky ass cac:

  • If it wasn't for an opening in AWA, dude would be slanging toys and meat like Master P did CDs out of the truck.
  • If it wasn't for an opening in WCW, dude would be in a Days Inn with Sonny Ono trying to hustle bootleg Tiger Electronic handheld games
  • If it wasn't for Watts being shytcanned and the obsession of looks, Bischoff's Ken doll looking ass would still be commentating Main Event or some shyt
  • If it wasn't for Turner trying to get into "the wrasslin business", Bischoff would be trying to figure out how to make Bunkhouse Bunk a household name
  • If it wasn't for the steroid trial and the New Generation, Bischoff would be hanging on a chow line with the rest of the WCW staff
  • If it wasn't for NJPW and the UWFI feud, dude would be trying to have Hogan wrestle the ghost of Andre the Giant with the help of Kevin Sullivan (literally, they would have a seance to make the shyt happen)
  • If it wasn't for Paul Heyman's crossover, dribble, travel, and technical foul ass checks, Nitro would have just been WWF All Stars in Georgia
Dude needs to count his damn blessings because good grief, I know there are bookers that wish they had dude's luck only for the luckiest dude in wrestling to shyt it all up because "NWO and bikers".

I think the problem with Bischoff is he always played with someone else's money and made sure he and his friends got theirs.

Ted, Vince, Dixie.

He saved WCW but then killed it.
Failed in WWE.
Failed in TNA.

Other wrestling owners own the federation and run it accordingly. Eric just wanted to get what he could out of each situation.

And Aew is below WCW just like TNA was
Aew only is bigger because the marks support it and because of Tony's dad

TNA doing 1 mill during that era was a success because wrestling was dead by 2005-2006 and nobody thought they would reach that
