The First Amendment protects everyone's right to express their religion, and allowing the call to prayer is part of that, just like how churches ring bells. NY is supposed to be all about diversity, so hearing different religious practices comes with that. Besides, it's not like you're being forced to listen to it nonstop. It's an hour on Friday in the afternoon. This country is all about religious freedom, right? I think a bigger problem is letting specific groups have personal police forces (like Shomrim) that aren't held accountable and have a history of racism.

Yeah first off Turks as a group aren’t even that religious. I known a few over the years and they are mostly secular. Especially Endrogan who runs Turkey.
