epic show :ohlawd:

actually might be time for a rewatch after so many years.

and dont watch seasons 6 7 and 8. this is coming from a breh who cares. @Front 2 Back

the original writers left, a bunch of scorned feminist ugly women came in. thats all i gotta say.

Ari Gold one of the best television characters in history:salute:

Show was great till the end of season 5

After that it goes downhill...FAST... made Vince a p*ssywhipped simp, E a p*ssywhipped simp, TURTLE a p*ssywhipped simp and Ari a wife-whipped simp:scusthov:

was it season 6 when all the roles started getting reversed?

it was so obvious too, it was like a bunch of hardcore fembots got a hold of the show and went "tee hee hee let's make all the guys take all the Ls in the world, all at the hands of smart and resourceful and just women!" - not to mention turned it into a horrible soap opera style show.

that was so disgusting and flagrant. but i think it was more season 7 and 8 than 6. but the fukkery started in season 6 i guess. but to wrap the series up i guess 1-5 would be absolutely perfect. never seen a show go downhill so damn quickly.

what the fukk

I think it was either 5 or 6 that ended with Vince and Drama getting on the plane while E stayed with Sloan. THAT was the TRUE ending of the show for me, with Jay-Z's In My Lifetime remix playing in the background all the characters had pretty much come full circle...

For sure. I consider that the end of the show also. The final season is one of the worst nosedives in TV history.

Plus another thing that came to me during my recent rewatch... Billy Walsh is the most annoying character ever. I find it hard to believe that Vince and E would have put up with anywhere near the amount of shyt he ended up putting them through. I understand he was the "tortured artist" and they both highly respected his work but the guy was a fukkin villain. It felt out of character for them to keep putting up with him. He long...LONG overstayed his welcome and yet they always kept crawling back to the guy. Made no sense.

He actually came crawling back to them. He also gave Drama life when people was forgetting he was an actor...

Most talented people in Hollywood are a$$holes just like Billy. With egos just like Billy. Its the nature of the business

I don't know, Weeds had a comparable downhill slide.

Billy Walsh is loosely based on one of the producers Rob Weiss, who is friends with Wahlberg. Weiss directed a Sundance hit "Amongst Friends" and was supposed to be the next hot shot director. Then people felt he was difficult to work with etc. He didn't work for a long time and then got the call for Entourage and became one of the writers of the show when it began. Weiss even jokes about Walsh's character being based on him. Obviously I doubt Weiss was as over the top as Walsh. But, I will say Entourage has a lot of truths about the business in the show.

Here's an interview where Weiss talks about being the inspiration for Walsh's character.

Lol the Walsh character took it to a whole new level though. That's what I'm tryna get at. The guy was like the fukkin Joker... just causing chaos for no reason and ruining the lives of everyone in the process :mindblown:

And every time Vince would just be like :manny: and take his side.

The guy was a menace.:demonic:
