I dont know it seems with youth and a wrestling base you can go far in todays mw/lhw divisions where the contenders are dinosaurs that have been in competition since the 90s. Everyone wants to say what weidman did last night solidified him as that dude when his opponent also has "losses" to a :flabbynsick: rampage & davis :manny:

Machida beat the shyt out of both rampage and Davis those 2 were straight up robberies. Plus look at how he out struck mousasi, machida will always be a top 5 fighter and is definitly capable of winning the belt

Breh these wrestlers have been working on timing and explosiveness since they are 4-5 years old, I was literally :mindblown: looking at some of the shyt these kids are doing, 7 year olds with 40'' box jumps :damn: . A high level wrestler only needs a few years to get his bjj up. Now a lot of these wrestlers are taking Muay Thai/boxing at a early age as well, hell at my son's wrestling school half of those kids take some form of striking. MMA is going to have an extremely high level of competition in a few years imo.

They were saying that when gsp beat hughes the 2nd time, that while ppl now train in one discipline (and pick up others later) in the future they'll be training in all facets of the game and be more high level/complete fighters. Well the first TUF was damn near a decade ago so anyone we see now around 20 or younger should be part of this group. Personally I dont think there is going to be that big of a difference in talent. We will just get a handful of diamonds in the rough and so called "smart" fighters

:leostare: did you watch that fight? King mo wrestled fukked mousasi but moose landed like 120 punches from his guard n did the most damage. Mo face was busted up but he won just because mousasi couldn't get up. That fight was when I realized how trash mo was

Nah mo was trash before that fight and he controlled the fight. Mousasi hasn't been nice since like 2010 he just living off of fumes. nikkas can't name a top 10 person he has beat recently.

Not gonna happen until they start paying MMA fighters real money. Right now you just have a lot of guys who like to fight. Money can make real athletes want to learn.
One of the biggest problems. You got mofukkas on the prelims making 8gs to show.. meanwhile mega sick n flabby mofukkas like mir getting that 200k. obviously drawing power is a factor but that disparity needs to plateau. i'm betting even the shyttest nba teams even get a few hundred thousand, if not a milli per player:beli:

I ain't even mad.. just waiting for MMA to truly establish itself. We're still in a period of acceptance, unlike other leading sports like boxing, football (soccer) and American football, which are so built in it seems impossible to imagine a society without them.
With social media and people being more accepting of things than ever before, and the current crop of young uns taking up mma, shyt is only gonna get better and better and better:ohlawd:

They're investing in everything but the fighters. Paying fighters spreads word that there's money in mma and makes real athletes learn mma.
