Page is high level on the ground and standing, he has been striking and bjj than anderson, and is faster than anderson ever was he's 26

Anderson did not get to the UFC untl he was 30, did not look elite until he was 32

Weidman is already 30, and deserves credits for his victories, but he does not look great by any means

Page is an elite Freestyle point fighter, and an elite kick boxer, his BJJ game is off the charts

Silva had Muy Thai has a base, and was never an elite muy thai fighter

Page is an elite striker in the same vain Cormier is an elite wrestler, or Rousey is an elite judo fighter

The UFC and MMA in general needs more elite level athletes dedicating themselves to MMA. I'm not saying the top dudes ain't shyt but We need Premier League and NBA level mofukkas jumping on this shyt.

I also wanna see a Chute Boxe revival and more East Asian fighters/martial arts. I know mofukkas saying Chinese kung fu ain't good for MMA but gtfo.. any combat sport, when honed and adapted for modern competition, can be legit.

I can't really ride with this though..

IF youve studied martial arts you know that phenoms and freaks come around. Thers always a guy who picks up on things a little faster then others and is able to put the pieces together better then others. Also, you dont really know Weidmans training regiment because to be at this level, requires an insane amount of dedication. When page fights some real wrestlers we'll know his metal. I know those UFC contracts are a joke though so maybe thats whats kept him out of there.

Page is signed to Bellator though so we wont be seeing him in the UFC for a long time, unless he just keeps destroying people forcing zuffa to buy out that contract.

Not stupid at all because ground and pound is real and is demoralizing. Weidman has respectable power and takedowns in a match where striking is even makes a big difference.

Not gonna happen until they start paying MMA fighters real money. Right now you just have a lot of guys who like to fight. Money can make real athletes want to learn.
