Converting to housing is easier said than done depending on the building type.

Major obstacles in the way: plumbing, windows and lighting, emergency egress.

We’re likely to end up with mixed use.

Converting offices into large hydroponic farms is intriguing tho.

It's not healthy to be at home all day everyday even if you work there. Your not getting enough movement, socialization or stimulation and you need to replace that social interaction and basic physical activity or your physical and mental health with eventually be affected. It doesn't even take long.

Work from home should not mean sir your ass down all day in the house.
Cap. If you don’t have friends just say that.

Basement gym and I go walking on break.

My wife has a standing desk and under desk treadmill.

I can easily talk to my friends on the phone or FaceTime from home while I’m working so I get my social interaction.

Only people who want to go back to the office are old white people or lonely, miserable people with no spouse or friends.

Just convert it to low income housing

But I don’t feel bad. People not trying to commute 20+ minutes just to sit in an office and do the same shyt they could do at home

Keep in mind the cost to convert into housing, plus a lot of these downtown office sectors do not have the infrastructure in place for large groups of people who live there vice working there.

So the solution isn't just throwing people into these office buildings to live, cause they'd have none of the essential businesses around them to give them incentive to live there.

Then tear them shyts down and make better use of it. The purpose of an office building is for tenants to pay rent to then make profits. If the tenants for office aren’t there then the only other choices are convert, or go out of business :manny:

Converting basically solves are artificial housing shortage problem and breathes life back into struggling inner cities.

The era of anti socialism. And I'm not crying for offices just don't like this shut in lifestyle. If you don't have to go to the office that's a win but don't just sit at home. Make some moves outside. Talk to strangers.
You can socializer with people outside of work you know?

If work is your only point of social interaction, the issue has more to do with you not truly having a social life. A lot of people realized that they did not have lives outside of work and social events within their work universe.

a really good argument from WFH folks, is that the time they spend commuting/constrained at work is now available for them to use working out or even going outside just to be outside. they actually have time to live life.

Yes they didn't have lives and now they have even less of it. Most don't do shyt outside of work because they older or fell off on relationships. And yes you are right. You should replace that time with other activities.

I worked from home a few jobs before the pandemic even. First thing I did every morning was go outside before and get some exercise before starting my day.

extroverts and office loving freaks mad i see

Nobody mad and nobody love the office. First thing I said in my post. I left corporate life specially because of office life many years before a pandemic. :skip:

I dunno why this forum loves thinking everything comes from a salty place 😭

You got people in here that damn well know the only physical activity they got daily was that walk from the car park into office , climbing some stairs up and down thru the day and walking to a food court 😞.... That are in here pretending they haven't lost a step and don't see the sense in my words :skip:

Hence I said go outside not to be a salty hater but just looking out for the brehs :yeshrug:

I'll learn to say less on this forum or I should i guess.
