As the title implies I'm tryna get my first job. Actually I been tryna get my first job since I was 15 but because I have no prior experience employers don't fukk with me and I don't got friends or family to put me on with something:sadcam:

I don't want y'all to think I'm lazy, I filled out hella applications and in a span of 3 years I've only got like 5 interviews that didn't lead to employment. Everyone else around me can get jobs like nothing but, when I try my hardest to get a job I get nothing, shyt is aggravating and kinda stressful:sadbron:

I ain't even asking to be a CEO or nothing like that, just something that can finance a car and an apartment.

Long story short I'm bouta be 19 soon and the longer I'm unemployed the worse it makes me look so, coli brehs what can I do to get employed??

You good bro.

After you do the app, call the company and ask to speak to HR. When you’re talking to them tell em your name, you just applied for such and such position and was looking to see how soon they wanted to get it filled.

They’ll either give you a real answer or something like “we’re just taking apps” either way keep calling and asking at the beginning of the week and at the end of the week

Try staffing agencies. A lot of those jobs don’t require experience

And also look into trades like the guy above me me said. I’m a painter by trade so I can give you a title info on that. We have plumbers and carpenters here too I think so they can tell you more about that stuff

I’m headed out the crib right now I’ll update this post as I think of more stuff

I struggled with this when I was 18. A small company where the manager does hr duties is best. Do an app talk to the manager if its a paper app give it to the manager. Let them know how hard you will work for them and look them in the eyes when you say it pause.

Best source of jobs are usually through networking

First do you really know what career you want in the future?
If so try meet ups dedicated to that using the app.
Try contacting your schools for placements if they have part time.
Try asking on fb. Leave shame for other things. Employment is necessary

Linkedin presence should be a must with your cv. Since you're young with a lack of experience, your unbridled motivation should slide through.(delete crap from your social media asap)

There's a lot of jobs on LinkedIn and other job sites. Use tech to your advantage and apply there as well.
  • Go for a sales job to know how to sell yourself which is a priceless art.
  • Tech jobs to learn how to solve problems
  • Trade jobs for more money and opportunities in the blue collar sector

Since you have no prior experience, take anything you can get. Trader Joe's is a great place to start. It was my first "real" job after graduating high school. Use your time there to develop a strong, efficient work ethic and go from there.
